A Couple Quick Announcements from Selah Parks & Recreation!

We have a few important updates as we head into the weekend:

FALL SOCCER

All children currently on the Fall Soccer waitlist have now been sent registration links. Once you receive your link, you have 24 hours to complete registration. Please be sure to check your email AND log into your registration account.

Most teams have now been put together, and coaches have begun reaching out to families. If you haven't heard from a coach yet, don't panic! They are working their way through their team lists.

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION SYSTEM UPDATE

We recently discovered an issue affecting some emails sent through our registration system. If you created your account using Apple and selected the “Hide My Email”/private email option, messages from us may not have been delivered to you.

If your child has been on a waitlist and you haven't heard from us, please log directly into the registration system and check your account for updates. We don't want anyone to miss their registration window because an email didn't make it through!

VOLUNTEER PARK PLAYGROUND — PLEASE STAY OFF UNTIL SUNDAY MORNING!

We know it may LOOK like the playground at Volunteer Park (Dolores Huerta Park) is ready to go — but it is not ready for use yet!

The repaired surface needs the full curing time before anyone can safely use the play area. Please help us protect the work that was just completed by staying completely off the playground until it officially reopens Sunday morning.

We know everyone is excited to get back out there, and we're excited too! Just a little more patience so the repairs have time to properly cure.

Due to graffiti and maintenance, the men's restroom at Volunteer Park (aka Dolores Huerta Park) will be closed today 7/31. The goal is to have it reopened by the end of the day today!

Park Closure Notice

The play structure at Volunteer Park a.k.a Dolores Huerta Park will be closed from August 11th through August 15th while crew's complete much needed repairs to the playing surface.

The green space and walking path will remain open.

These improvements are being made to provide a safer and better experience for everyone who enjoys the park.

The play structure will reopen to the public on August 16th.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this work is completed. Thank you for helping us keep our parks safe and enjoyable for the entire community!

Selah Residents – We Want Your Feedback!

We're exploring the possibility of offering a true recreational YOUTH softball league through Selah Parks & Recreation, and we'd love to hear what you think!

This would be a player registration league—not team registration. Individuals would sign up, and we'd create balanced teams, making it easy for anyone to play, whether you already know people or not.

We're considering offering the league in:
Spring, Fall or Potentially both!

Before we move forward, we want to know if there's enough interest.
