Day 3 and 4 of National FFA Convention

We explored the Indianapolis Zoo, watched an incredible dolphin show, saw elephants, flamingos and rhinos oh my! Then we spent the days at convention listening to some great speeches, making new friends and talking to people in the industry. And for our last night we went bowling 🎳!

It was a great week with some even greater kids!

Day 2
We toured RDM Shrimp farm and learned a lot about aquaculture! Then went to Opening Session and ended with Ty Meyers concert 🎵
Now on to Day 3!

Day 1 of National FFA Convention
Yesterday we travelled to Fair Oaks Farms and toured the dairy facility and farm grounds. We picked apples, learned about crops, met Seneca FFA from Illinois and watched a calf be born!! The farm itself milks around 30,000 cows with robotics and rotary parlors. Producing over 200,000lbs of milk a day!

Seneca FFA had a great time at World Dairy Expo! One of our members even got to show a cow 🐄. Our dairy judging team placed 58th out of 105 teams! 🐄🐄🐮🐮 We also had these amazing tshirts to wear sponsored by Dahlberg Hoof Trimming !

WE HAVE GOATS!!! Millie Dahlberg and Harper Gagas are this year’s barn managers and have been working together to get the fence built with the help of their families. Currently they have one paddock almost done and are onto the next! We are so excited to explore the goat world at the Seneca Ag. Discovery Center !!🐐
Huge shoutout to those who have helped get the barn project this far! We couldn’t have done it without you!

Day 3 State FFA Convention- Today we travelled to 7Brew, went to workshops and then attended the Career Expo. Which is where we talked to lots of industry professionals and got free swag and made some more new friends! Got meet and listen to the amazing Temple Grandin speak. And then had a wild ride home in the crazy ☔️ rain.
What a wonderful experience with an incredible group of kids. 💙💛💙💛☕️🐄☔️

Day 2 State FFA Convention- This morning we got up bright and early and toured ABS Global. Learned all about bull management and production! Then we went to opening session, heard Governor Tony Evers speak, participated in workshops, made new friends and ended the night with a concert! 💙💛💙💛💙

Day 1 of State FFA Convention! We toured Sassy Cow Creamery , ate some delicious ice cream and learned about their dairy operation. Then we participated in the first shift of meal packing for Day of Service and helped packed 30,0000 meals just in one hour!! These fine members made the hairnets look fabulous. 💙💛💙💛

These wonderful FFA members will be at the Johnson’s One Stop Farmers Market June 9th raising funds for their trip to State FFA Convention in a couple weeks!! 💛💙
