The cooler temps have had the canines on a roll these past 2 weeks!

With every catch we’re saving wildlife, livestock and improving the predator to prey ratio!

Let’s hope this hot streak continues!

We love starting the morning like this!!

Predator management is crucial while trying to grow or improve your deer or turkey populations. These coyotes have no natural predator.

Therefore, the only thing that is “managing” their population is old age, disease, road kill and the occasional hunter that gets a crack at one. While all of these things do eliminate some of the coyotes, it’s not enough to fully manage their over population.

Trappers are not “wiping out” the coyote population. We’re simply helping balance the prey and predator ratio to achieve a more balanced position for the farms that we enjoy hunting.

Cooler temps➡️ aggressive bucks!!

No better way to get those mature bucks worked up than with the Code Blue Scents products!

My favorite place to make these mock scrapes is in a natural pinch point that is between bedding and food. Preferably where there’s some acorns! They will find way faster and use it more often in that transition all the way through the does start coming into estrus.

Give this stuff a try! It’s worth the money!

Ambush dye and wax is by far the EASIEST and FASTEST way to EFFICIENTLY treat your predator traps for the season.

No more waiting around for the dye to boil and the wax to melt. There’s no gasoline required, no “air out” time or anything of that nature.

Simply shake jug for 2mins, pour in a pot, dip the traps and let them dry/cure for 24hrs. They do recommend 2 coats for land traps and I highly recommend that as well. So just repeat the process 1 day later.

I HIGHLY recommend that you give this stuff a try over everything else!!

Opening Day!!!!

It’s finally opening day of the trapping season here in NC.

This may be your first season or your 80th.

If it’s your first, WELCOME!!! I wish you the most success! I can not stress enough….do NOT get discouraged, keep trying and do NOT give up. The catches will come, it may take a day, a week or even a month. But if you are putting in the work, doing all you can and gathering all the information available to you, I can PROMISE you that you will be successful!!!! Bed the trap solid, set on sign and use the wind/thermals to your advantage! As soon as you catch your first, it is just repetition after that!!

If it’s your 80th, CONGRATS! Best of luck this year! I can not stress enough that you encourage the new trappers and give them tips and pointers that may have taken you a month to learn when you first started. I’m not saying give away all your secrets. But those small things that are second nature to you now can quickly help the new trappers become successful sooner!

I absolutely love this time of year and I’m so excited to see what this season brings!

Best of luck to everyone this year!
