Today, we walked for something bigger than ourselves.
The Mogadishu Mile was never meant to be just another event or another mile on a trail. It was an opportunity to remember, to honor, and—in a small way—to carry forward the legacy of the men who fought during the Battle of Mogadishu on October 3–4, 1993.
Today, our community came together to recognize the courage, sacrifice, brotherhood, and resilience of the U.S. Army Rangers, 160th SOAR, Delta operators, and all those who served during those events—especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
We were incredibly honored to have Randy Ramaglia join us and share in this day. Randy’s presence brought a personal connection to the history we gathered to honor, and we are deeply grateful for his time, his stories, and his willingness to stand alongside our community.
A very special thank-you to Kathy Winter, whose introduction to Randy helped bring all of this together. Sometimes one connection becomes the beginning of something much bigger, and we are grateful for hers.
To the AA County Fire Department—thank you for showing up in a huge way. For the extra hands, the support, the use of the truck to proudly display our American flag, and, just as importantly, the great company throughout the day. Having you there made this event even more meaningful.
More thanks to the Wexler family for the continued use of their beautiful property and hospitality so we can keep bringing events like this.
To Claire for singing a beautiful National Anthem.
Thank you to Rise Up Coffee for sponsoring and supporting the mission, and to our entire Masada team for the work behind the scenes and on the ground to make today happen.
And finally, thank you to every person who showed up, walked with us, donated, volunteered, supported, and took the time to remember. Every contribution mattered.
The photos from today capture smiles, embraces, teamwork, and community—but behind all of it was a shared purpose:
To remember their names.
To honor their sacrifice.
To carry their legacy forward.
Today wasn’t about recreating what those men endured. It was about refusing to forget it.
🇺🇸 Never forgotten. Rangers Lead the Way.
