1942 Chris Craft Special Runabout

This is the project of rebuilding a 1942 Chris Craft Special Anthem was built by my father Peter A. Geis and launched in 1985.

She had an extensive racing history including the 1998 winner in class of the Newport - Bermuda race, and winner of the Thomas Flemming Day award for the fastest corrected yacht under 38 feet. After the 2000 racing season, she lay dormant in the Magothy River and suffered much rotting of the plywood deck and bulkheads. In 2005 I hauled her out and assessed the damage.
