Tagged with the NAIA’s No. 2 national ranking earlier in the day, Concordia University Nebraska - Volleyball showed its mettle down the stretch of the second and third sets in Yankton, S.D., on Wednesday (Sept. 16). The Bulldogs followed the lead of junior Shandy Fa’ali’i while defeating Mount Marty, 25-19, 26-24, 25-21, in their first GPAC road match of 2026. Fa’ali’i stuffed the stat sheet with 16 kills, seven digs and four aces (all team highs). Head Coach Ben Boldt's squad (12-2, 3-0 GPAC) will host Hastings on Homecoming Saturday.

In an offensive clash, the second-ranked Bulldogs stayed a step ahead of Mount Marty while hitting .299. Junior outside hitter Shandy Fa'ali'i starred with 16 kills, seven digs and four aces in the win.

🏆 CHAMPS! The Concordia University, Nebraska - Golf women's team won a playoff and captured the title at the Lila Frommelt Fall Classic on Wednesday (Sept. 16). Four Bulldogs placed in the top 13 individually: grad student Maddie Lewis, junior Savannah McFalls and sophomores Olivia James and Amelia Ptacnik. Said Head Coach Brett Muller, "Anytime you can ring the bell, it’s a great day."

The résumé speaks for itself. We are thrilled to welcome Desmond Cooney to our department as Assistant Lifting Sports Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach! He joins Head Coach Freddie Myles' staff. Says Cooney, "I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the Bulldog family."

Concordia University, Nebraska has announced the appointment of Desmond Cooney as Assistant Lifting Sports Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach. He began his role in early September.

Dylan Meyer will admit that the circuitous route he took to Seward wasn’t exactly what he planned. The Norris High School product is happy to be making an impact close to home in one last season with the guys. That's what he's loved most about his Concordia Bulldogs Football experience. As the inside linebacker says, "It's as simple as that — just being around these guys." Meyer continues to star after leading all GPAC players in tackles for loss in 2025. Catch him on Saturday as the Bulldogs host Mount Marty for homecoming.

Senior Jude Elgert shot three-under-par on Tuesday (Sept. 15) while climbing 36 spots on the individual leaderboard over the final two rounds of Siouxland Invite. His efforts helped pave the way for the Concordia University, Nebraska - Golf men's team to card a season low total in round three of the tournament. The Bulldog ‘A’ team landed in 13th place at the conclusion of the tournament. Up next for Head Coach Brett Muller's squad will be the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on Sept. 21-22.

Senior Jude Elgert shined on Tuesday while shooting two rounds at par or better. His efforts helped pave the way for the Bulldogs to shoot a season low 18-hole score in round three of the Siouxland Invite.

It's a homecoming week edition of the Bulldog Weekly Report! As part of homecoming, we will officially induct the Concordia Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2026 on Friday evening before our football and volleyball teams host GPAC opponents on Saturday. Our Bulldog Athletics Association Member Athletes of the Week are Seohyeon Jang of tennis and Carter Wiebusch of soccer. Go Bulldogs!

Congrats to our TWENTY athletic programs that earned NAIA Scholar-Team distinction for 2025-26! Honors were announced in conjunction with NAIA National Awards Day. The award honors teams that achieve a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the nominating institution.

In conjunction with NAIA National Awards Day on Tuesday (Sept. 15), 20 Concordia Bulldogs programs have earned NAIA Scholar-Team distinction for the 2025-26 academic year.
