“How are you feeling?”
“Better.”
That was the answer after Tim climbed a ladder onto the unfinished mezzanine, grabbed a driver, and took a full swing.
Because apparently knowing the measurements work on paper isn’t quite enough.
He’d been stuck on one question: Will there actually be enough room to swing a driver up here?
It’s one of those seemingly small questions that can become a very big deal when you’re responsible for bringing an entire facility together.
So he waited until there was just enough flooring down, climbed up, and tested it.
Then he did it again in every bay.
Not because the numbers were wrong.
Because he needed to feel it.
And after months of watching every dimension, decision, change and unexpected obstacle become his problem to solve, I think that swing gave him something the plans couldn’t:
A little peace of mind.
“Better” seems about right.
