I would Personally like to thank each and every employee that worked at Strausser Shroyer (aka. Shamokin city / Rock Street ) Pool .
You All stuck with us during a time of great struggle! Personal, maintenance issues, weather conditions, and citizen issues,
You ALL held steady, never complained & came to work with a smile and helpful hand! Although it was a short season because of circumstances beyond our control, YOU did it !!!
So proud of you all !
I consider you all not just employees but as a family and hope you all have a wonderful off season and hope to see you all next year!

📢 EVENT CANCELLATION — STRAUSSER-SHROYER MEMORIAL POOL

After speaking with the City and considering the current situation in the Fifth Ward, we have made the difficult decision to cancel today’s Pep Rally / Swim event at the Strausser-Shroyer Memorial Pool (Rock Street Pool).

Our number one priority is the safety of our community, our families, and our children. While we are disappointed that we cannot come together as planned, we believe this is the responsible decision at this time.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and thank everyone for their understanding and support.

Due to weather forecast - this swim will be POSTPONED for tonight. It will be moved to Sunday August 30th from 3pm-6pm!!

It will be Shamokin Indians Appreciation Day and your LAST CHANCE to swim for the season. We hope to see everyone there!
