D-Limit Great Lakes sport fishing

Started out peaceful ended up wicked. Got off the water just in time. Just 1 king and it was released (5th one this year) for another year, . . . You're welcome.

The C - W**d Fly from Slammin Salmon did it for us again this morning! 2 nice kings, one little king and 2 cohos. Nice quick trip this morning.

Last night was a little slow at times but we managed to find some decent kings. Went 7 for 9 in a 100fow, the 2 kings coming on the new flies. Thanks to Slammin Salmon Fishing Tackle for the new HOT flies, they don't have names yet but, they will! Several fish on each one on the first trip out with them! Sorry for the nudity but I had to try and even out my farmers tan lol. Tight lines!

Great weekend and a good start to the 16th season for the D-limit boat and crew. Here's to another year of memories.

Congratulations to the Big 9 top competitors. Some great weights for this year's Big 9 Weekly Derby. Thank you again Jeff's Tackle / The Wharf for hosting this great competition. Hopefully we can give all the great anglers a run for their money 💰 next year. Tight Lines!!!

It's a wrap, Salmon A Rama 2024 is in the books! We couldn't be more proud of our team and our effort!

Biggest fish caught out of sheboygan was 25.9 and was in 58th place in the overall biggest fish standings. So our 25.18 wasn't bad for sheboygan.

Our finish in the Big 5 boat division ended 34th place overall out of 154 boats but, second place out of all the Sheboygan boats in the tournament, and that IS impressive because, we didn't pull boat and port hop to chase fish, they all came from sheboygan waters.

The bigger class of king salmon genetics is without a doubt up in Washington Island and Sturgeon Bay area, and they have proven it over the last several years.

We definitely put in our full effort 8 days and nights straight on the water (approx 115 hrs on the water with only 35 hrs of sleep) and we are still proud of our result, out of 129 bites we landed 96 fish (20+ of those were released for next year) in total.

Most importantly, we had a blast doing it! A great group of friends with the same passion and drive is a great experience in itself but throw in all the laughs and memories made and we wouldn't trade it for any thing else! D-Limit Crew kicks ass and it's another proud effort in the books!

Trip #16 is in the books. A beautiful night, sunset and moonrise within minutes of each other, calm lake for the most part and of course a few fish in the box. We ended up 8 for 11 with another nice 20+ to finish out the day. Kyle had the best personal record catch rate of the tournament with 100% he did not lose a single fish this tournament, luck or skill either way it's not easy to do when you pound like we do! And Jason had the biggest fish on the boat @ 25. 18 lbs. Me and Cody, well we just do all the work, set up the boat each day, set the baits, clean the boat, fill the gas, etc. without the glory stats this time lmao! 🤣🤣🤣just kidding, it's always an equal effort and that's why it works!

Trip number 15 of Salmon A Rama. Saturday morning we got out onto the lake into the circus of boats and the inconsiderate "weekend warriors" that think it's OK to power out in the dark, set up 100 ft away from you, running lines right up next to yours and start turning into your boat, with no other boat within a quarter mile of you, all while you are fighting a king screaming your reel (rant over) . . . Anyways, we locked into a big king early and the action/chaos continued for 2 and a half hours. Ended up 8 for 8 with 4 nice 4yr old kings, (one 23lb upgrade we needed). Other than the inconsiderate foolishness it was a fun morning reminding us all just how blessed we are to have this ability and experience in our lives! So awesome! !

Trips 13 and 14. Friday morning we ended up 4 for 5 biggest was 18lbs. Another beautiful day on the water. Friday e8yvening we got into some hungry and very hyper king salmon that tested our abilities to keep our lines untangled and get these fish in the boat. Had two doubles back to back and ended up 8 for 8 biggest was 19.5. Still can't find the big boys.
