Happy opening day of bow season. As a reminder we will have our Youth day deer hunt celebration on Saturday, September 26 at Quail Hollow Farm on Casar, NC at 11:00 am. This is a family event so even if you do not hunt you can still come out and celebrate with us. We always have so much fun fellowshipping together, we will have a wonderful speaker that day, and don’t forget we will have door prizes for the youth. Lunch will start around 11:30 and Chip and Amber Camp are taking care of the food for us. Please register so that we can have a head count for food. We look forward to a great day with you!

Our next Sportsman/Family night will be Monday, September 14. We are going to be learning and reviewing tree stand safety. We will have a light dinner of BBQ sandwich’s, chips, and cookies. Please invite friends and family members as we are growing our group. Look forward to seeing everyone!

Come out and join us for our Youth Day Deer Hunt Celebration at Quail Hollow Farm in Casar from 11:00-2:00. Deer check in will start about 10:30 and Twisted Tines processing will be there to take deer to the processor if you would like. We will have lunch starting around 11:00. We will also have door prizes for the youth. This is a family event and all are invited even if you do not hunt that day. Please Register through the QR code on the flyer so that we can have a head count for food. Don't forget to register for the NC Big Buck Contest before hunting, you never know what will walk into your sight line. Please share this post to help get the word out!
*Only youth under the age of 16 can hunt on September 26 and 27.

Just a reminder about the Swan Tag Applications. The cut off date is September 1. You must have your hunting license, water fowl license, and HIP completed before applying for the swan tag. If you do not have all of those then you will not get a qualify for a tag. If you are creating a party please make sure all people in your party have completed the requirements before joining the party. If one person in the party does not have everything then the whole group will not receive a tag. If you qualify for a tag make sure before you hunt that you purchase a Federal Duck Stamp. You can get one from your local post office or from the NC Wildlife site. If you have any question please reach out and we will help.

There are only a few weeks left to apply for the swan tag lottery. Sept 1 is the deadline. Remember you have a higher chance of getting a tag if you sign up with a group of 5 people. If one person in your group gets the tag then the whole groups gets one. Go on the wildlife site and apply today https://www.ncwildlife.gov/

Foothills Welcome back Family Night Monday, August 3. Come out and Learn about CTO or come and see what events we are going to be planning this year. Pizza, drinks, and chips will be served. We will meet at 6:30 in the Hearthside Dinning Hall at Elizabeth Baptist Church. Invite friends that may be interested in joining in or CTO group. This is for ages 7-20.

Foothills group will be taking a fishing adventure to Cherokee, NC on July 23-26. We will be camping at Smokemont National Park.

Since we have the 4th of July over this weekend and many people are out on vacation we have decided to not hold a Sportsman/Family night this month. Our next meeting will be Monday, August 3. Can’t wait to see everyone.
