Some of the best days on the water aren’t about the fish.

They’re about slowing down, spending time with the next generation, and sharing a boat with your best fishing partner—even if one of them has four legs.

This is what it’s all about. Teaching patience. Sharing stories. Learning to read the water. Creating memories that will last far longer than any trophy fish.

At ArmyBassAnglers, we believe fishing is more than a sport—it’s a way to build stronger families, stronger friendships, and stronger communities.

Whether you’re catching them or just enjoying a quiet day on the lake, every trip is one worth taking.

Take someone fishing. You’ll never regret the time spent.

One thing that never gets enough attention is tackle organization.

When you’re on the water, every second counts. I don’t want to waste time digging through loose baits trying to find what I need. That’s why I’ve built my front storage compartment around the Monsterbass tackle boxes and the AMP Storage tackle configuration.

Everything has a place. I know exactly where every bait, weight, hook, and terminal tackle item is. That means more time with a bait in the water and less time searching through clutter.

Whether I’m fishing a tournament, filming Force on Force TV, or guiding clients, staying organized makes me more efficient and helps me adapt quickly as conditions change.

A clean, organized boat isn’t just about looking good—it’s about fishing smarter.

How do you organize your tackle? Are you a neat freak, or does everything end up in one big pile by the end of the day? 😂

There’s no excuse for unsafe boating.

This video doesn’t fully show how close this boat actually came. While we were fishing this week, a guy came by at full throttle less than a cast length away. Then he turned around and did the exact same thing going back the other direction—right in the middle of my cast. My lure actually went over his boat.

Maybe he was upset because I was fishing a spot he wanted. It doesn’t matter. No one owns the water.

We all have to share the lake, respect each other, and put safety first. One bad decision at high speed can seriously injure or kill someone.

Please don’t be this guy. Slow down around other anglers, give them plenty of room, and remember that courtesy goes a long way. We all want to make it home safely at the end of the day.

Fish hard, be respectful, and most importantly… be safe out on the water.

Today, we join the bass fishing community in mourning the loss of bass fishing legend Harold Allen, a Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Class of 2015 inductee.

Harold was more than a Hall of Famer—he was a friend to so many in our ArmyBassAnglers family. During our early years, he was always around, supporting the sport and spending time with many of our anglers. Several of our Force on Force champions had the privilege of fishing alongside him and learning from one of the true greats of bass fishing.

ABA was honored to know Harold, and we will always treasure the time we shared together, along with the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame challenge coin. It serves as a lasting reminder of a man who left an incredible mark on our sport and on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

On behalf of everyone at ArmyBassAnglers, we extend our deepest condolences to Harold’s family, friends, and the entire bass fishing community. His legacy will continue to inspire anglers for generations to come.

Rest easy, Harold. Thank you for your friendship, your example, and everything you gave to the sport we all love.

There’s nothing like starting with fresh line before the next trip. 🎣

Spent some time today respooling the reels with Vicious Fishing line so we’re ready for whatever the next cast brings. Whether it’s chasing giant bass around heavy cover or making long, accurate casts offshore, confidence starts with the equipment you trust.

Fresh line. Fresh start. Time to put it to the test.

What line are you running this season?

The Bass Fishing Hall of Fame has learned that Harold Allen, a 2015 inductee and member of the famed Hemphill Gang, is battling an aggressive form of cancer and would ask that you keep him and his family in your thoughts.

Known across the sport as “The Legend,” Allen helped shape professional bass fishing as we know it today from his home base in east Texas. Alongside fellow Hall of Famers Larry Nixon, Rick Clunn and Tommy Martin, among others, Allen was one cog in the Hemphill Gang that used Toledo Bend Reservoir as the backdrop to develop techniques and innovations that helped shape modern competitive bass fishing. Allen’s specialty has always been deep water structure and he was known as a great soft-plastic worm angler. He competed in 264 Bassmaster events and made 15 Bassmaster Classic appearances.

Beyond statistics and accomplishments, though, Allen earned the respect of his peers through his professionalism, humility, and unwavering passion for the sport. Allen is an indomitable character who has impacted countless people either on guided fishing trips, on the tournament trails or just amongst friends and acquaintances.

If you’ve got a story to share about your experience with Allen, feel free to drop it below.
