Would anyone be interested in daytime leagues?

Spring has sprung!!! Leagues are about to start!! Below is the list of leagues available at Henson. We can develop others as we get the interest. We need at least four players signed up in a league to make that league. The cost per week will be $5 per player. This covers court time, lights, and balls.

Mondays @ 6pm- 3.5+ Women’s Doubles; 7:30pm 3.5+ Men’s League

Tuesdays @ 6pm- Beginners Women’s Doubles; 7:30pm- Beginner’s Men’s Doubles

Wednesdays @ 6pm- 3.0/3.5 Men’s doubles

Thursdays @ 6pm- Mixed doubles; 7:30pm- 2.5/3.0 Women’s Doubles

Fridays

Also available are a Men’s Singles Ladder and a Women’s Singles Ladder. Here, we will have a list of players (in no particular ranking) on a “ladder”. A player can challenge up to two players above him/her. If the player who challenges wins, he/she takes the place of the other player. This is just a fun way to practice singles, strokes, serves, etc. There is no particular day for these leagues. It is up to the challenger to contact the other player and schedule the match. This is also $5 per match.

Please let me know if you are wanting to sign up and which league/s you would like to sign up for or if you would like to be a sub. Sign up sheets will also be on the bulletin board at Henson.

Is it August already?!!! Wow, time passed so quickly! But, what a great few months! Very hot, but great! We have had four leagues playing out here! And,Jimbo has been excited about the Tennis Apprentice group he has coming out to Henson! We have met so many nice players, all showing the willingness to keep learning and have fun with this awesome sport! Hope to meet even more people in these next few months!!

Leagues are forming again! Come join in the opportunity to play and compete and meet new people! We have the following leagues starting new next Thursday:

Beginner Adult Ladies Doubles(2.0/2.5)-Thursdays starting 16 August at 7:30pm

2.5/3.0 Ladies Doubles-Thursdays starting 16 August at 6:30pm

Mixed Doubles-Thursdays starting 16 August at 6pm

The Monday 3.5/4.0 Ladies Doubles will begin again on 10 September. Anyone interested can sign up now.

We are still on the lookout for men and women singles players. We can start a ladder where you challenge up to two players ahead of you. A win moves you up the ladder. These matches can be played anytime. The players work out the day and time. We would also like to get some men's leagues started as well! Just let us know if you are interested.

Summer session has ended for the junior classes. Starting on Monday, 13 August, the classes will resume in the afternoons. The schedule is as follows:

P*e Wees- Mondays and Wednesdays at 3:30Pm
Beginners- Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:00pm
Intermediate- Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:00pm
Players Program- Tuesdays at 4:30pm and Saturdays at 11:00am.

And, of course, private and group lessons are available through Jimbo. It is $25 for a half hour/ $50 for an hour. Call Henson to schedule your private lessons! Group lessons are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6pm. There is a also a beginner adult group lesson on Mondays at 7pm. the cost for group lessons are $10/person.
