I truly love being part of our mountain bike community. My passion is helping build stronger minds, bodies, and spirits in our kids and fellow coaches. While I am incredibly honored to be this year’s recipient, I believe this recognition reflects something much bigger than one person. It represents every coach who shows up, gives their time, offers encouragement, and makes a meaningful impact in a child’s life.
It truly takes a village, and I feel so fortunate to be part of one that shows up, lifts each other up, and does such amazing things. I’m proud of what we are building together and grateful to be part of a community that makes such a difference.

Congratulations to the 2026 MCA Assistant Coach of the Year – Brenda Roloff, Mounds View 🏆
The MCA Assistant Coach of the Year Award recognizes an assistant coach whose dedication and support make a positive difference for their student-athletes, team, and community.
Brenda Roloff has done just that, turning her vision of “Get More Girls on Bikes” into meaningful, lasting change. In her six years coaching with Mounds View, Brenda has worked especially hard to establish an all-female rider group and grow the number of female coaches on the team. Fellow coaches, parents, and student-athletes praise her coaching, describing her as “a coach’s coach,” “always organized,” and “fun.” As one student-athlete put it, “She expects a lot from us, but that's because she knows we can do it.” Brenda leads by example, supports her fellow coaches, and makes a lasting difference in the lives of young riders.
