What do I love about my fit club community?

They have my back when I’m struggling. With anything not just fitness or nutrition.
These ladies have become some of my closest friends. Over the last 5 years I had no idea I needed them in my life!

Do have friends that make you want to do better? Be better?
When you surround yourself with positive people, positive things begin to happen. Have you ever noticed that?

We are moms
We fitness instructors
We are in our 40’s and older
We are and full of life!

Do you need a community to uplift you?

Let’s talk commitment!

It’s a simple word and so many people are afraid of it but yet we have commitments we do daily! There are so many things we can commit to:
Our relationship with our significant other, church, work, getting the kids where we they need to go.
Do you know what commitment is broken the most? The one you make for yourself.

How many times have you told yourself I’ll start doing this or that and never follow through?

Well I have been there myself. I haven’t always been consistent with my nutrition or fitness. But when I DECIDED to make the COMMITMENT to put my health first, i have not looked back.

What if you committed to yourself and didn’t stop when you reached a goal and you just kept going?

What if the commitment is to just read a book? Or have dinner with a friend once a month?

What are you willing to do to commit to yourself?

“Being prepared isn’t part of the battle. It is the battle” my trainer says this all the time! Who believes it’s true?

On Sundays I prepare for the week ahead. I make my lunch for week and sometimes I’ll cook up extra chicken and through the week make vegetables for dinner. Because I don’t have a lot room, I can’t get all my food together and store it, but in the mornings I take a few minutes to set myself up for success for the day. I get snacks for the day and my lunch.

It’s not hard! It just takes a little effort. It’s all worth it!

On the menu today:
Breakfast- zucchini bread Shake
Morning snack Greek yogurt with blueberries
Lunch chicken stuffed bell peppers
Afternoon snack carrots and hummus

Maybe Monday isn’t you’re favorite day of the week, but what can you do to make it great!

It’s all about shifting our mindset.
Tell yourself today is going to be amazing!
Tell yourself today I’m going to be great!

If you speak negatively to ourselves, that just lets the negative in! Speak positive words and positive things will happen.

Sunday was all about prepping for the week ahead!

Workout in of course but what I didn’t show you is the mobility and stability workout. It so important to give your body the proper mobile movements. We sit way to much and movement is so key to helping us recover those muscles.

Also not pictured is meal prep.

I’m so happy to be back home and getting back on track with my nutrition. Although I was only out of town 1 day, I still feel good to be eating a home cooked, healthy and delicious meal.

When I got home last night I decided to break out my Fixate cookbook and find some recipes that would work for the whole family.

Throwback from way back!
Do you remember your first job?

I do! It was the best job a 16 could have! We had an amusement park back in the day called Hamel’s Park. For a 16 YO, it was so much fun! It was hot, which sucked and we had to wear jeans which again sucked but meeting people from all over the city was the best!

Although we don’t speak much anymore, thank goodness for social media for keeping us connected. Sure miss these days!

Wow! This is why you have to document your health journey! When you don’t think you’re making any progress a photo from 3 years ago will shed some light on how far you have come!

The picture on the left I was still trying to figure out why I wasn’t losing weight. I had just started a new program and was starting to see some results. But nothing happens overnight when you have been beating your body up with bad nutrition!
The picture in the right let’s just say I am happier and feel amazing! I want to say to the me on the left don’t give up. You have to get you mind right in order for anything to work. You have to be ready to make the change and when you decide it’s time, you will be unstoppable!
