A **BIG, LOUD, “THE JUNIORS ARE OFFICIALLY OPEN” Facebook post**. 😎🎣 for all our

And this one needs to make clear that this isn’t just an add-on — it’s the beginning of something we intend to **grow**.

🔥🎣 **IT’S OFFICIAL — JUNIOR TEAM REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!** 🎣🔥

The **High School Bass Trail is expanding in 2027**, and our brand-new **JUNIOR DIVISION for 5th–8th grade anglers is officially taking registrations!**

We listened to coaches, parents, and teams who wanted **MORE opportunities for young anglers** — and we went to work.

✅ **5th–8th Grade Anglers**
✅ Teams compete against other Junior teams
✅ Fish the same great fisheries and professionally run events as the HSBT
✅ Junior results and standings remain **separate from High School**
✅ A clear pathway for young anglers to eventually move into the **High School Bass Trail**

For 2027, our Junior teams will fish on the **same tournament dates and fisheries as the High School division**, making it easier for schools, clubs, coaches, families, and boat captains to participate.

But here’s where we’re headed…

🚀 **If the Junior Division grows the way we believe it can, our goal is to develop it into its OWN Junior Bass Trail — one that feeds directly into the HSBT.**

That means we aren’t simply adding another division.
**We’re building the next generation of competitive bass fishing.**
The HSBT has never been interested in doing things simply because “that’s the way they’ve always been done.”

We listen. We adapt. We innovate.
And most importantly…

🎣 **WE CREATE MORE OPPORTUNITIES FOR KIDS TO FISH.**

And here’s something we want to strongly encourage:

CHECK OUR SCHEDULE AGAINST THE OTHER TRAILS AND THE LEAGUE. Seriously.

We WANT young anglers fishing as much as possible. If your team can fish HSBT one weekend, or Northeast Louisiana High School Anglers the next, or head north for the Ark-La-Tex Student Angler Federation or south to the Louisiana B.A.S.S. Nation Youth, and the North Louisiana High School Fishing League that — DO IT. The HSBT isn’t about trying to keep kids locked into one organization.

It’s about creating MORE OPPORTUNITIES for young anglers to get on the water, learn, compete, improve, and experience tournament bass fishing in a safe, organized, and positive environment.

🎣 More tournaments.
🎣 More time on the water.
🎣 More competition.
🎣 More learning.
🎣 More opportunities.

That’s a win for everybody — especially the kids.

Our registration buttons are LIVE at:

🚨🎣 **2027 HIGH SCHOOL REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!**🚨

The wait is over! Registration for the **2027 High School Bass Trail season is officially LIVE!**

👉 Register now at ** www.highschoolbasstrail.com **

HSBT continues to **LISTEN to our teams, coaches and schools**—and for 2027, we’ve made registration even easier!

✅ **Schools and clubs may now pre-pay** registration and tournament entry fees for their teams. Reach out to Jeremy Gallman or Rex Moncrief for the payment process. It's simple.

✅ **Independent teams are ALWAYS welcome!** Teams fishing outside a school or club can register and securely pay online by credit or debit card—just as always.

That flexibility matters. High school bass fishing should create **MORE opportunities**, not more roadblocks. Whether you represent a school, belong to a club or compete independently, **there is a place for you at HSBT!**

That’s what innovation looks like: listening to the people actually fishing our tournaments and finding better ways to serve them. And we’re nowhere near finished! 😉

🎣 **JUNIOR TEAM REGISTRATION IS COMING SOON!**

Our new Junior Division will fish alongside HSBT in 2027 with separate competition and results. If participation supports it, our long-term plan is to branch the Junior Division into its **own dedicated trail—building young anglers and feeding directly into the High School Bass Trail!**

That means more tournaments, more competition and a clearer path for young anglers to grow in the sport.

🔥 **2027 STARTS NOW!**
Register your high school team, invite another team and help us keep building the future of competitive bass fishing!

**COMPETE. LEARN. GROW.**

🚨🎣 **BIG NEWS FOR 2027 — THE HIGH SCHOOL BASS TRAIL IS GROWING!** 🎣🚨

You asked. Coaches asked. We listened.
And once again, the **High School Bass Trail is INNOVATING.**

🔥 **Beginning with the 2027 season, the HSBT will officially add a JUNIOR DIVISION!** 🔥

Our goal has always been simple: **create MORE opportunities for young anglers to compete, learn, grow and fall in love with tournament bass fishing.**

After hearing requests from coaches — especially following a recent meeting — we decided there was no reason to sit around talking about what *could* be done.

**We’re doing it.**

For the **2027 season**, our Junior Division will fish **the same tournament dates as the High School Division**, giving younger anglers the opportunity to experience the same excitement, atmosphere and professionally run events that HSBT anglers have come to expect.

But this is just **YEAR ONE.**

If participation grows the way we believe it can, our long-term vision is to eventually build the Junior Division into **its own dedicated trail** — developing young anglers who can then move directly into the HSBT High School Division.

Think of it as a pipeline:

🎣 **JUNIOR ANGLERS → HIGH SCHOOL ANGLERS → THE NEXT GENERATION OF COMPETITIVE BASS FISHING**

That’s how you grow the sport.
That’s how you build something that lasts.
And that’s what the **High School Bass Trail** is all about.

We aren't interested in doing things simply because *“that's how they've always been done.”*

We want tournament fishing to be **competitive, exciting, accessible and FUN** for as many young anglers as possible.

🏆 **JUNIOR DIVISION**
🏆 **HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION**
🎣 **ONE BIG 2027 SEASON**

More anglers.
More opportunities.
More fishing.

**THE HSBT KEEPS MOVING FORWARD.**

🔥 **GET READY 2027 JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT BIGGER!** 🔥

👉 More Junior Division details, eligibility requirements and registration information coming soon.

🎣 **REVISED 2027 HSBT SCHEDULE** 🎣

After receiving messages from multiple school coaches regarding a scheduling conflict, the High School Bass Trail immediately agreed to move one of our tournament dates.

Why? Because this has never been about egos, politics or protecting turf. It’s about creating **MORE opportunities for student anglers to fish MORE tournaments**—whether they compete with HSBT or another trail.

Some organizations wait for change. **HSBT makes it happen.**

As the foundation of high school bass fishing in our area, we’ll continue moving forward, innovating and working with coaches to make tournament fishing as easy, competitive and enjoyable as possible.

No drawn-out controversy. No excuses. Just a simple decision based on one question:

**What is best for the kids?**

The answer will always be more competitive high school bass fishing—and the High School Bass Trail will continue leading the way as the area’s innovators!

Please SHARE our revised schedule and help us continue growing high school bass fishing across the region!

**COMPETE. LEARN. GROW.**

🔥 THE HSBT GLADIATORS HAVE BEEN CROWNED. 🔥

What started as a new idea for the High School Bass Trail turned into one heck of a tournament series.

The 2026 HSBT Gladiator Tournament was designed to be different — head-to-head competition, advancing through the field, pressure increasing every round, and ultimately earning your way into the Championship. This weekend, the final Gladiators hit the Red River to settle it.

And when the scales closed…

🏆 Tallen Toups & DREW MORGAN — 14.67 LBS — 2026 GLADIATOR CHAMPIONS! 🏆
Boat Captain: Trent Toups

Toups and Morgan came through against a tough field and finished the job when it mattered most. Congratulations, guys — you earned those belts!

And give it up for the entire Championship field. Every one of the five qualifying teams brought a LIMIT OF BASS to the scales. That tells you exactly what kind of anglers made it through this tournament.

🥈 Virgillito & Barnett — 12.06
🥉 Tong & Hinson — 9.16
4️⃣ Loftin & Wynn — 8.58

We also want to thank Jeremy Gallman, our HSBT board members, volunteers, boat captains, parents, sponsors, and everyone who helped turn a crazy idea into something these anglers will remember.

One comment after the tournament probably summed it up best:

“Jeremy Gallman, you are innovating my brother!!!”

Yep. That was the idea. 😎

The Gladiator format challenged these young anglers in a completely different way, and judging by the competition, excitement, and response we’ve seen…

⚔️ THE GLADIATOR IS COMING BACK. ⚔️

Congratulations to ALL of our 2026 Gladiators — and especially our first-ever champions, Tallen Toups & Drew Morgan!

Now it’s time to start sharpening the swords for 2027. 🎣⚔️🏆
