C.E. Byrd Yellow Jackets Baseball

Junior pitcher J.B. Shoup is representing Byrd in the Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association’s Underclass Games at Northwestern State’s Brown-Stroud Field on June1-3.

The C.E. Byrd Baseball Banquet wrapped up our 2025/2026 season — a year full of good times, laughter, hard work, and lessons learned both on and off the field.

A huge thank you to our Booster Committee chairs for your dedication and support of the program. Coaches create the culture, players commit themselves to the game, and parents provide the heart behind it all. It truly takes everyone.

Our Senior Parents absolutely knocked this year’s banquet out of the park! Thank you for creating such a special evening to celebrate our players and season.

A special thank you to our banquet chair, Jamie Sandridge, for planning a memorable night for the entire program.

As Coach told our Jacket Seniors — you are always welcome back home at your field.

The road to the playoffs runs through New Orleans!

The Byrd Yellow Jackets are headed south to take on St. Augustine in a best-of-three series in the Bi-District round of the LHSAA Select Division I Playoffs.

Game one and two will be Friday, April 17th at 4:30 PM and 7 PM in the Wesley Barrow Stadium, with a third game Saturday morning if needed.

Our boys hit the road today!!!

Senior Spotlight: Clark Harp

Clark Harp is the kind of player everyone wants on their team—selfless, dedicated, and always bringing the energy. A true Yellow Jacket since the age of five, Clark grew up dreaming of playing on the very field he now proudly serves.

Through hard work and commitment to his craft, Clark earned his role as a Varsity pitcher. He’s the first one out of the dugout to lift up his teammates and often the last to leave, showing what it truly means to be a great teammate.

Thank you, Clark, for your heart, leadership, and love for Byrd Baseball. We wish you all the best at LSU-S!

Senior Spotlight: Rowan Arnold

Rowan Arnold has been the backbone of Byrd Baseball, leading the charge behind the plate as the team’s catcher. His command of the field, baseball intelligence, and ability to manage pitch sequencing have earned the respect of everyone around him. When the game is on the line, Rowan is the one you trust to frame the final strike and secure the out.

A four-year Varsity player, Rowan’s presence, leadership, and grit will leave a lasting impact on this program. His dedication to his teammates and the game has set a standard for what it means to be a Yellow Jacket.

As Rowan graduates and begins his journey with the United States Army, we couldn’t be more proud. Your Jacket Family will be thinking of you every time the national anthem plays next season.
