June 1st registration fees increase for the 14th year of the SGBC MISSION 5K/10K run. September 19th is our race day.
$200 prize will go to the winner of our course puzzle. For the 3rd year, participants will put clues together to answer the puzzle waiting at the finish line.

Registration is now open for the 14th SGBC MISSION RACE. The Race Puzzle is back with a cash prize this year. RACE DAY IS SEPTEMBER 19TH at Summer Grove Baptist Church.

The 13th SGBC is in the history book and what an event! Under a morning of predicted storms God provided us with a perfect day to race. 71 participants registered, 12 individual and corporate sponsors, over 45 volunteers and 9 individuals making donations God is providing for many that He has called to His field of Missions. The final tally from today's race will be announced later. Enjoy some of the photos of today's race. Year 14 goes in plan mode soon. Thank you to everyone for a fantastic day.

Race Packet Pickup is Thursday & Friday at Run Wild. On Saturday it's at Summer Grove Baptist church starting at 7:00 a.m.
Race Registration closes at 7:45 a.m. on Saturday morning. Registration on Saturday will be at Summer Grove Baptist Church.

Race Day = September 6th
All proceeds of this race go to those called to serve in the Mission Field. Over 12 years that figure is over $129,000. Our 13th annual race is 2 weeks away and God is working.
This is more than a race. This is a community of walkers and runners coming together for a purpose. A community of believers to assist others.

The Summer Grove Baptist Church Mission Challenge 5K & 10K Races on September 6th is again a miracle from God.
As Race Director I start each year with $0.00 dollars. People ask me why I do this. My answer, “because this is not a Mickey event, this is God’s event and He knows what He needs for his people in the Mission Field.” So I let God direct me as to what He wants me to do each year. I get to watch firsthand God working a miracle using me each year. 2025 will be no different. Over 12 years, this event has reached over $130,000. All sent to missionaries across the globe.
Who has ever heard of working a puzzle while running🏃/walking🚶in a race? Last year God gave this to me. This year we are doing it again with the puzzle winner getting a $100 steak dinner, which is donated.
Everyone receives a Finisher medal. With 1st -3rd place finishers in age groups receiving additional rewards.
