“I’m going to get my marketing together.”
“I need to work on my content.”
“I’m going to launch something for the holidays.”
“I need to start my email list.”
“I’ll do it next week.”
And then suddenly… Q4 is over.
Here’s the uncomfortable truth:
Your competitors aren't necessarily more talented than you.
They may simply be more prepared, more consistent, and already executing the things you keep saying you're going to do.
The businesses that win Q4 won't be the ones with the most ideas.
They'll be the ones who made decisions, built the strategy, started the campaigns, followed up with their audience, and actually executed.
You don't need another month of saying “I'm getting ready.”
You need a plan.
And then you need to move.
If you've been procrastinating on your Q4 marketing, this is your sign to stop watching the quarter pass you by.
Q4 Growth Blueprint Workbook — Build the strategy.
Q4 Growth Blueprint Workshop — Build the plan with your team or organization.
Q4 Marketing Ex*****on Support — Get the strategy, consistency, and ex*****on support to actually follow through.
Because six weeks from now, you can either be looking at the results of what you started…
or explaining why you never did.
Let's build your Q4 strategy.

CHAPTER 39: BECOMING HER.
I almost called this birthday a celebration.
But honestly? It feels more like a declaration.
Because 39 looks different when you’ve lived enough life to know the difference between who you were taught to be, who people needed you to be, and who the hell you actually are.
I’ve built businesses.
I’ve built brands.
I’ve built platforms for women to be seen.
I’ve helped other people find their voice while learning how to use my own a little louder.
And this year, I’m not interested in becoming more palatable.
I’m becoming more intentional.
More honest.
More discerning.
More courageous about what I want.
More protective of what I’m building.
And yes, there’s still a lot I’m figuring out.
That’s the point.
Chapter 39 isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about finally being willing to become her.
So here’s to another year of building, birthing, creating, learning, laughing, crying, pivoting, healing, making money, making mistakes, making moves...
…and doing it my way.
Happy Birthday to The Queen of Digital Marketing.
Chapter 39.
I’m becoming her.
09/05/2026
39.
This birthday feels different.
Not because I’m another year older, but because I can finally look back and see how every version of me was becoming the woman standing here today.
The woman who had to figure things out as she went.
The woman who built before she felt ready.
The woman who kept creating when nobody was watching.
And now, at 39, I’m thinking less about what I’ve accomplished and more about what I’m building that can outlive me.
That’s what legacy means to me.
It’s what inspired 39 Acts of Legacy—39 days celebrating Black Women across Northwest Louisiana whose businesses, leadership, service, creativity, and stories deserve to be seen.
And it’s also why this next chapter feels so significant.
Because the work is getting bigger.
From creating visibility for Black Women to building spaces like the inaugural LookOut NWLA Honors Awards, I’m becoming even more intentional about using entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, and community to make sure meaningful work gets seen, celebrated, and remembered.
At 39, I don't have everything figured out.
But I have clarity about this:
I’m here to build.
I’m here to create.
I’m here to open doors.
I’m here to leave something behind.
So today, I’m celebrating the woman I’ve become—and the woman I’m still becoming.
Happy 39th Birthday to me.
And as I step into this next chapter, I want to know:
What are YOU building that you want to outlive you?
Tell me. I want to know what legacy looks like from where you stand.
A Legacy Begins.
09/05/2026
Sometimes legacy looks like being the first. Sometimes it looks like making sure you aren’t the last.
Meet Yashica Turner.
After nearly 30 years in nursing, Yashica has built a career defined by leadership, service, and representation.
She became the first African American nurses’ supervisor at the Natchitoches Parish Health Unit — and later became the first African American nurses’ supervisor in Red River Parish.
Today, she is continuing that legacy in education as a health occupations instructor and school nurse at Red River High School.
And she’s still building.
As the founder and owner of Seaux Shic Staffing Solutions, Yashica uses her knowledge and experience to provide health and safety training while creating opportunities to pour into others.
But perhaps the most powerful part of her legacy is what she understands about representation.
She knows what it means to enter spaces where people who look like you may not have always been seen. And now, she is intentional about opening doors for the women coming behind her.
Her goal isn't simply to succeed.
It is to leave people and communities better than she found them — and to remind the next generation that there is room for them, too.
Yashica Turner, your legacy is already opening doors.
This is 39 Acts of Legacy.

SHE COULDN’T STOP THE LOSS, SO SHE BUILT SOMETHING FOR THE MOTHERS LEFT BEHIND.
In 2022, Martha Tyler was watching the same story play out over and over again.
Another shooting.
Another family devastated.
Another mother left trying to figure out how to live with a loss no mother should ever have to experience.
And Martha said enough.
She founded Moms on a Mission Shreveport.
At first, the mission was simple: give mothers who had lost children to gun violence somewhere to go, someone to talk to, and other mothers who understood the kind of grief that words can't explain.
Then the mission grew.
Grief support became a community.
The community became an organization.
And the organization began reaching beyond mothers, creating programs for youth, supporting seniors, organizing community initiatives, and giving families a reason to keep showing up.
By 2025, Moms on a Mission was serving roughly 100 mothers, with another 50 waiting for support.
Then the funding that helped expand the work disappeared.
The work didn't.
Martha kept going.
The phone kept ringing. Mothers kept coming. And the mission kept moving.
Because Martha wasn't building something that depended on perfect circumstances.
She was building something the community needed.
And now, years after that first decision to stop simply watching mothers grieve, Moms on a Mission has become part of the fabric of Shreveport.
That is the part of the story we want you to see.
Not just the mission.
The woman who saw a need and built something big enough to meet it.
The woman who kept building when it got harder.
The woman who turned “somebody should do something” into “I will.”
This is why we LOOK.
At the women who aren't waiting for the perfect opportunity.
They're creating it.
They're building organizations, businesses, movements and legacies right here in Northwest Louisiana.
Martha Tyler is building.
And we're LOOKing.
If you're building something in Northwest Louisiana that deserves to be seen, tell us about it.

What if opening doors for others became your legacy?
Meet Erica O’Neal, a Recruiting & Engagement Specialist, MBA graduate, PHR-certified HR professional, and community servant who has made helping people thrive part of her life’s work.
In her professional life, Erica connects people to meaningful employment opportunities and helps them recognize their value and potential. But her commitment to people doesn’t stop when the workday ends.
Through the Shreveport-Bossier Junior League, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and Lasagna Love, she continues to serve, encourage, and show up for others — sometimes through a career opportunity, sometimes through volunteer service, and sometimes through something as simple as delivering a homemade meal to a family who needs it.
Her impact is a reminder that service doesn't have to be loud to be lasting.
It can look like opening a door, making a connection, offering encouragement, or simply showing up.
That is the kind of legacy worth celebrating.
Erica O’Neal, we see the doors you’re opening and the people you’re helping walk through them.
This is 39 Acts of Legacy.

Aw, look at you welcoming September…
But did you welcome your Q4 growth strategy yet?
Because October starts Q4, but October should not be the first time you start thinking about Q4 marketing.
That’s the part I’m putting you up on game about.
September is your strategy month.
This is when you decide what you want Q4 to actually do for your business or organization.
More sales?
More clients?
More visibility?
More bookings?
More community engagement?
A stronger pipeline going into 2027?
Then you build the marketing around the goal.
Because listen…
Black Friday is not a Q4 strategy.
It’s one campaign moment inside of a much bigger quarter.
Your October marketing should be building awareness and momentum.
Your November marketing can capitalize on demand and buying behavior.
Your December marketing can help you finish strong while positioning people for what’s next.
That whole journey works a lot better when you’ve thought about it before you get there.
You don’t need to wait until October to “get serious” about Q4.
September is sitting right here.
So I created three ways to help you get your Q4 strategy together:
Q4 Growth Blueprint Workbook
Build the strategy yourself.
Q4 Growth Blueprint Workshop
Bring me in and let’s build it together.
Q4 Marketing Ex*****on Support
You know where you’re going. I help you execute the marketing to get there.
Different starting points.
Different levels of support.
Same goal: walk into Q4 with a plan.
So, be honest…
Are you building it, building it with me, or ready for ex*****on?
Workbook. Workshop. Ex*****on Support.
September is for the blueprint.
Let’s not wait until October to start acting like Q4 matters.
09/02/2026
Aw, look at you sitting there welcoming September…
But you haven’t welcomed your Q4 growth strategy yet.
Come here. Let me put you up on game.
October starts Q4.
But Q4 marketing does not start in October.
That’s the part a lot of brands miss.
You don’t want to wait until October to start thinking about what you’re going to sell, how you’re going to show up, what campaigns you’re going to run or what you’re going to do for Black Friday.
Because by then, you’re already playing catch-up.
And baby, Black Friday is ONE day.
Your brand has an entire quarter to build visibility, create demand, nurture your audience, generate leads, move people toward your offers and establish yourself as the authority in your space.
September is where we lay the blueprint.
We build the momentum now so when October comes, we’re not asking:
“What should we post?”
We’re executing the plan.
So if you need to get your Q4 together, I created three ways for you to do exactly that:
1. Q4 Growth Blueprint Workbook
For my DIY woman who wants to sit down, think strategically and build her own Q4 plan.
2. Q4 Growth Blueprint Workshop
Book me to bring the strategy into the room and help you map out your Q4 growth opportunities, campaigns and marketing direction.
3. Q4 Marketing Ex*****on Support
For the brand that doesn’t just need a plan. You need somebody to help you actually execute it.
See, I’m not telling you to “start planning for the holidays.”
I’m telling you to think bigger.
What do you want Q4 to do for your brand?
Then let’s build backward from there.
Because the brands that stand out in Q4 aren't necessarily the ones shouting the loudest in November.
They’re the ones that started building before everybody else realized it was time.
That’s the game.
And now you know.
