After a stressful couple of days monitoring the hurricane, potential storm surge, and local conditions, we have some AMAZING news to share…

WE ARE FROLICKING!!! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️☀️

We are thrilled to announce that Flamingo 5K is moving forward as planned at beautiful Siesta Key Beach!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and all those positive weather vibes you've been sending our way. We know the uncertainty wasn't easy, and we appreciate you hanging in there with us!

Now it's time to trade that hurricane anxiety for some FLAMINGO EXCITEMENT! 💗

We highly encourage you to pick up your packet today if possible! It makes race morning easier for everyone. Have a friend picking your packet up, GREAT, they just need to know your first and last name.

6:30–7:45 AM at the Sea Turtle Pavilion

Siesta Key is a popular place, even early in the morning! PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY. Give yourself plenty of time to park, walk to the pavilion, grab your packet if needed, use the restroom, and get ready to race.

Our team is proudly strutting together to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, because this cause touches so many lives in our community. Whether we are running, walking, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, we are united by one mission — to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer, and help fund the research and support programs that bring hope to families everywhere.

The Flamingo 5K was created to bring our community together in a fun, uplifting way while making a real difference. Flamingos stand strong together in a flock, and that spirit perfectly represents what this team is all about — community, resilience, and support. Every step we take and every dollar raised helps fuel lifesaving research, patient programs, and local resources for those battling breast cancer.

Many of us are participating in honor of loved ones who have fought this disease, those currently in the fight, and the incredible survivors who inspire us every day. Their strength is our motivation.

Thanks to generous supporters like you, donations help the American Cancer Society continue critical research, provide free rides to treatment, offer lodging for patients traveling for care, and deliver life-changing support to families who need it most.

Together, we are more than just a team — we are a flock standing up against breast cancer.
