& just like that. Not even 6 months postpartum & Iโm back ๐ (still nursing too ๐)โฃ

โBe realisticโ was what I was repeatedly told when I talked about Postpartum. Which would just bum me out bc I thought that meant no chance my body would ever be the same.โฃ

But Iโm back. Back to pre-baby weight & back to level of strength.โฃ

& in all honesty, it was much easier than I thought.โฃ

Zero cardio.โฃ
Zero diets.โฃ
Zero meal prep.โฃ

I ate whatever I wanted & only spent about 2 hours working out A WEEKโฃ.

That was a tough pill to swallow as an athlete & fitness coachโฆโฃ

But to think of getting back to where I was before pregnancy was SO daunting. I had a lot of work to do ๐ฅตโฃ

My strength is coming back quick! ๐ช I've been crushing my training & feeling significantly stronger each week.โฃ

However... still hovering about 5lbs above where Iโd like to be.โฃ

Mainly because of this one issue ๐ I hate tracking macros, so Iโve gotten lazy with it.โฃ

& in all honesty, hereโs why.โฃ

1๏ธโฃ I realize I don't really HAVE to track ๐คทโโ๏ธโฃ

Although dialing in & tracking macros would help me get there MUCH fasterโฆโฃ

I did it for years & that helped me get to a place where I can eat pretty intuitively & still make progress.โฃ

So Iโm certain Iโll get there eventually โ

2๏ธโฃ I'm a completely different person than I was 2 years ago ๐ผโฃ

Things that were once the MOST important to me are now not so important.โฃ

โฆ Like a 6pack or being the leanest person in the room.โฃ

2 years ago, I'd catch a glimpse of any extra fat & obsess over fixing it ASAP & at all cost.โฃ

Now, I look at my body knowing there's still work to be doneโฆโฃ

But with ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒ bc of the incredible task it just accomplished๐คฐโฃ

& with experience, knowing a 5lb difference isn't gonna make or break my happiness.โฃ

Iโm not settling. Iโm just in no rush.โฃ

AND I know with the knowledge I've acquired from investing in myself & learning how to make this a lifestyle...โฃ

I WILL end up back where I was. It's only a matter of time.โฃ

But one thing I feel myself WANTING to do that I CANNOT do...โฃ

โCompare me now to me 2 years ago.โฃ

2 completely different ppl...โฃ

One was willing to go to the extent of obsessing over 16% body fat & tracking everything I put in my mouth...โฃ

The other just isn't.โฃ

I just have different goals, priorities & values that I know are more fulfilling in this phase of life.โฃ

I realized I have a way better chance by becoming who I need to be to create it & sustain it.โฃ

Itโs like the broke lottery winner ๐ฐโฃ

Magically winning millions of dollars wonโt fix all their problemsโฆโฃ

Unless they forever upgrade their lifestyle & spending habitsโฆ theyโll likely always revert back to their default setting that created the problem in the first place ๐โฃ

Itโs no different with my fitness ๐ชโฃ

I can opt for the occasional quick fix or 30-day challenge & get results temporarilyโฆโฃ

โฆ but Iโll always revert back to my default setting that got me โ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต ๐ฐ๐ง ๐ด๐ฉ๐ข๐ฑ๐ฆโ in the first place.โฃ

Which means Iโll be off & on my entire life๐ชโฃ

I can BECOME someone whoโs default setting is to be fit, lean & strong. So I can be that year round.โฃ

& that doesn't magically happen when I achieve the result.โฃ
