Am I the only one that overnights at a racetrack and can't resist a bit of fun.... even though Summer has crazy gaited horse legs that can't even properly canter... They did pretty good at a gallop though. This was on our incredible trip to Utah a few years ago.

Summer is healing. Instead of spending two to three hours a day caring for her it's down to about an hour. Her face swelling has gotten much smaller and it opens up about once a day and drains. I'm continuing to feed her soaked feed and use hot and cold packs many times a day and clean two of her wounds.

This may be a record breaking month for overnight horse traveler layovers! I have had two trailers of polo ponies, several foxtrotters, Tennessee walkers and quarter horses heading to Florida and Arizona for the winter, donkeys, a mule, lots of dogs and many humans either staying in there living quarters trailers or in my two overnight guest bedrooms and bathrooms with private entrances and a patio.
