Same leg. Same spot. Third time this season.

Most guys treat it like bad luck. It usually isn’t.

A hamstring that keeps failing is often covering for something else. When your ankle loses range and your hip stops extending fully behind you, that load doesn’t disappear. It moves down the chain to whatever will take it and that’s your hamstring.

So you stretch it. And it gets angrier. A muscle that’s already overworked and overlengthened doesn’t need more length. It needs the joints above and below it to start carrying their share again.

That’s why every visit here starts with a full exam and mobility assessment. Find where the chain is actually breaking down, restore the motion, calm the tissue, then reload it so it holds up at full speed.

I played five years of college football at McNeese. I know exactly what a nagging pull costs you reps, a season, a spot.

Cash-based chiropractic care designed to make treatment simple and accessible.

Powerlifters don’t get to rest a back. The bar doesn’t care.

Cody’s been dealing with lower back pain and still training, which is the position most lifters are in, you can’t take six weeks off without losing everything you built, but pushing through blindly is how a ni**le becomes a real injury.

The middle path is figuring out what’s actually failing under load and working on that while you keep training around it.

Lower back pain in a lifter is usually not the back itself. It’s what’s happening above and below it. Hips that don’t extend fully, so the lumbar spine finishes the movement. A brace that leaks under heavy load. One side controlling rotation better than the other, which you can’t feel but a bar path will show you.

The back is where you feel it because it’s where the compensation lands.

That’s why “strengthen your core” as generic advice usually doesn’t move the needle. You need to know which link in the chain is giving, then load that specifically.

Cody’s still under the bar. That’s the goal, not managing pain, but finding what caused it and building past it.

If your back has been talking to you for a few weeks and you’ve been ignoring it, that’s the window where this is easy to fix.
