I remember the first time I experienced back pain. It sat me down. I mean DOWN!

I was sitting on the edge of my bed, bent over in a prayer position, wondering how I was going to get up. 😢

After that experience, I realized just how important it was to strengthen my core. It’s one of those things we can’t afford to take for granted if we want to stay strong and healthy as we age.

These days, I’m intentional about keeping my core strong. And with my crazy schedule, having equipment like the The NordStick®️ bench in my home gym makes it easier to get the work in without leaving the house.

It’s been a great addition to my home gym.

Stay in the ring!

Rain or shine, we show up. ⚽️🌧️

I never imagined my life would be filled with so much excitement about soccer. If it were popular when I was growing up, I would have been all over it.

We sat in the back of our car watching our son battle it out on a soaked field for the championship, and we wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else.

Every game. Every rain delay. Every muddy ride home. We are there.

I don’t care how busy you are, parents.

Show up for your kids.

🏆 We won!

Stay in the ring!🥊

Today is a special day in our family. ❤️

Happy 80th Birthday, Mom! 🎉🎂
And Happy 60th Anniversary, Mom & Dad! 🥂🎉

Having parents who live their lives for Jesus is a blessing worth more than gold.

We were in church almost every day. They played Rev. James Cleveland, Andraé Crouch, Mahalia Jackson, etc., throughout our home. We also heard The Platters, Bo Diddley, and Fats Domino, if you know what I’m saying. 😂 But we grew up in a house filled with love.

There’s a saying: “A family that prays together stays together.”

That’s our family. And when I say our family, I mean ALL of our family, from both sides.

Today, Mom is 80, and Mom and Dad have been together for 60 years. ❤️

Thank you both for being such a blessing to us.

We love you! ❤️
