🩵Each and every student who steps onto the dance floor holds a special place in my heart and is an important part of our studio family. As a certified educator, my passion has always been teaching children, but having the opportunity to teach kids dance is truly a dream come true.

💜There is something so incredibly special about watching them grow not only as dancers, but as individuals. Watching their confidence blossom, their skills develop, and friendships form along the way is one of the greatest rewards of what I get to do.

🥹 I love knowing that I get to be a part of their childhood memories, and I am so incredibly thankful to each and every parent/guardian who trusts me with your children and allows me this wonderful honor.

🙌🏼 These are the moments that make it all worth it. These are the memories I will carry with me for years to come.

⭐️ Day 4 of Dancing Down Memory Lane…and this one might surprise you! ⭐️

Miss Kelli’s dance career did NOT start the way you might expect. In fact…she hated dance! 😂 Yes, you read that correctly!

‼️At the tender age of 3 years old, Miss Kelli cried and cried when it was time to go to dance. She didn’t want to put on her little leotard. She didn’t want to go into the studio. She wanted to stay home and watch cartoons!

😳 Thank goodness her parents didn’t let her give up that easily…because can you imagine?!

🩷And that brings me to a special message for the parents of the 34+ new dancers walking through our studio doors this season:

It’s okay if they’re nervous.
It’s okay if they hide behind your leg.
It’s okay if they have butterflies in their tummy.
It’s okay if they need a little time to find their confidence.

🩵As parents, I know it can be hard to watch your child navigate a brand-new experience. You may wonder if they’ll love it, if they’ll adjust, or if they’ll want to come back next week.

🙌🏼 Trust the process.🙌🏼

💜 Sometimes the things that feel unfamiliar or scary at first become the very things that shape us, challenge us, and ultimately become a huge part of who we are.

⭐️ I’m living proof.⭐️

🎭 You never know where their dancing dreams might take them…and sometimes, the little 3-year-old who doesn’t even want to walk through the studio door ends up building a lifetime of memories on the other side of it. 😉

⭐️ Day 3 of Dancing Down Memory Lane! ⭐️

As we celebrate our 5th season of On Pointe Dance Academy, today’s memory is a reminder of just how far this dream has come. 🙌🏼

🩷 Undoubtedly, one of the best decisions I’ve ever made was taking a leap of faith and beginning my dream journey into owning a dance studio. What started as a dream has continued to transform and grow with each passing year.

🩵 Over the past five seasons, we have danced our way through three different spaces, each one holding its own special memories, challenges, growth, and milestones. And now, to look around and realize that we own our own location…it honestly feels surreal.

💜 There have been so many unknowns, changes, and leaps of faith along the way, but each step has brought us closer to what I always dreamed On Pointe could become. Watching this studio evolve right alongside me has been one of the most incredible journeys of my life.

❤️ And a very special thank you to Melissa Countermine of Liberty Athletics for believing in me before I could believe in myself, taking a chance on my dream, and giving us a space to call home for 3.5 years. I will forever be grateful for that chapter of our story. 💙

Today, Miss Kelli is taking us back to one of the biggest dance moments of her high school career…

🍊 The Citrus Bowl Halftime Show on New Year’s Day! 🍊

As a sophomore in high school, Miss Kelli had the incredible opportunity to perform in the Citrus Bowl Halftime Show! As a non-competitive dancer, this was easily one of the biggest and most exciting performances of her career! What a big “stage”!!!

🎉 A brand new year means new friendships, new goals, new memories!

To celebrate the start of another amazing season, Miss Kelli will be dancing down memory lane and sharing some of her favorite dance memories throughout her career! 🥹

…what better memory to start with than her favorite one that holds a very special place in her heart: performing a duet with her dad to The Blues Brothers! 🎶 Friends still reminisce about this routine, and Kelli and her dad still call each other “Elwood” and “Jake”. (No pressure dads.)
