Blake Anderson brings more than 35 years of coaching and rink management experience to CSUN.

Before joining the Matadors, Blake served as an assistant coach for Cleary University’s ACHA Division I program in Michigan. He previously worked as the head coach and general manager of the Valencia Flyers WSHL Junior-A team.

Throughout his career, Blake has also served as a goalie coach and scout for the NA3HL Lansing Wolves. Additionally, he held goalie coach and assistant coach positions with nationally recognized Tier I Midget AAA programs Belle Tire, Victory Honda, and Compuware at both the U16 and U18 levels.

Beyond coaching, Blake is the CEO of G&B Consulting Services, a rink facility management company. He is also the founder and president of Elite Hockey Advising and the founder of Goaltec Goalie Training.

During his time coaching in Michigan, Blake helped develop numerous talented players, including two-time Vezina Trophy winner Connor Hellebuyck, as well as Max Domi, Austin Czarnik, and Jordan Oesterle.

Blake earned a master’s degree in management from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, where he also briefly played NCAA Division I hockey.

Blake’s decades of experience and extensive hockey knowledge have been invaluable to the Matador hockey program, and we look forward to having him behind the bench for another season.

We are less than a month away from our annual alumni festivities.

On Friday 9/18/26, we play USC at 9:45pm at the Iceoplex in Simi Valley.

The next day 9/19/26, we will have our alumni game 1:30-3:30pm. Afterwards we will have an alumni meetup at Cammarano’s in Simi Valley.
