Fox Run Junior Golf
After School Program
The FRJGA Junior Golf After-School Program will involve one clinic per week from 3:30 -4:30 or 4:30 - 5:30 every Wednesday during the Spring semester starting March 12th and ending May7th. As well, we will have multiple Saturday Play Days throughout the program. Check calendar for dates of Play Days. This program is a great way for your child to keep improving their game during the school year!!

MISSION STATEMENT
The program will be dedicated to teaching juniors to have fun playing the game of golf with success. The staff is committed to providing a positive and exciting experience to their game. Gaining knowledge of the rules and understanding golf course etiquette is essential. Honesty, safety, and good sportsmanship are the foundation of the traditions of the game of golf.
CODE OF CONDUCT
All FRJGA participants will be expected to act as a young professional at all times while using the club. This includes but is not limited to using polite language, walking on course property, abiding by the rules of golf, and practicing safety as a part of golf. The dress code is a collared shirt tucked in and no denim.
Parents and other spectators are encouraged to watch on play days if they wish. However, during play days, interaction shall be limited to positive remarks and applause. Any other interaction or conversation shall be considered advice, and the player will be penalized accordingly.

THE FOX RUN JUNIOR GOLF ASSOCIATION (FRJGA)
The FRJGA JUNIOR GOLF program will involve CLINICS, RULES TESTS, PLAY DAYS and TOURNAMENTS. Juniors will be placed in one of the following ability groups: 3-HOLE, 5-HOLE, 9-HOLE, OR 18-HOLE. PERFORMANCE POINTS will be awarded based on PARTICIPATION, RULES TESTS, QUALITY PRACTICE TIME, AND TOURNAMENT PERFORMANCE. The junior with the most PERFORMANCE POINTS, regardless of ability group, will be awarded,

ABILITY GROUP STRUCTURE
18 HOLE GROUP:
PLACEMENT IN GROUP BASED ON PROFESSIONAL STAFF ASSESSMENT OR THE ABILITY TO SCORE 100 OR BETTER ON A REGULAR BASIS. ALL MALE PARTICIPANTS OF THIS GROUP WILL PLAY FROM THE MIDDLE TEES. FEMALE GOLFERS WILL COMPETE FROM THE FORWARD TEES. A COMPLETED RULES QUIZ WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPETE IN A “PLAY DAY TOURNAMENT”.
9 HOLE GROUP:
PLACEMENT IN GROUP BASED ON PROFESSIONAL STAFF ASSESSMENT OR THE ABILITY TO SCORE 60 OR BETTER ON A REGULAR BASIS. ALL MALE PARTICIPANTS WILL PLAY FROM THE JR TEES . FEMALE GOLFERS WILL PLAY FROM THE FORWARD TEE. PROMOTION TO THE 18 HOLE GROUP WILL BE COMPLETED WHEN A PARTICIPANT SCORES 50 OR BETTER TWICE IN A “PLAY DAY TOURNAMENT”. AS IN THE 18 HOLE GROUP, A WEEKLY RULES QUIZ WILL BE TURNED IN COMPLETE PRIOR TO PLAY.
5 HOLE GROUP:
PLACEMENT IN GROUP BASED ON PROFESSIONAL STAFF ASSESSMENT OR ANY NOVICE JUNIOR 10 YEARS OR OLDER. THIS GROUP WILL PLAY FROM A SPOT IN THE FAIRWAY, PRE DETERMINED BY THE PROFESSIONAL STAFF. PROMOTION TO THE 9 HOLE GROUP WILL BE COMPLETED WHEN A PARTICIPANT SCORES 28 OR BETTER TWICE IN A “PLAY DAY TOURNAMENT”. A WEEKLY RULES QUIZ WILL BE COMPLETED IN THE SATURDAY CLINICS PRIOR TO PLAY. RULES AND ETIQUETTE WILL BE CONSTANT IN ALL CLINICS WITH THIS ABILITY GROUP.
3 HOLE GROUP:
ALL JUNIORS 9 YEARS AND YOUNGER WILL BEGIN THE SEASON IN THIS ABILITY GROUP. A JUNIOR HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO ADVANCE THROUGH AS MANY ABILITY GROUPS AS THEY DESIRE BASED UPON THEIR PERFORMANCE. PROMOTION TO THE FIVE HOLE GROUP WILL BE COMPLETE WHEN A SCORE OF 18 OR BETTER IS ACCOMPLISHED TWICE. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL PLAY FROM THE “WEE LINKS TEES”. GOLF HOLES WILL RANGE IN DISTANCE FROM 100 TO 180 YARDS. THE STAFF WILL PROVIDE SPECIAL TEE MARKERS ON “PLAY DAY TOURNAMENTS” FOR THIS GROUP TO PLAY FROM.
