We just finished up this tiny and precise job for a customer and we wanted to show just how small of a job it was.

First picture is the piece of material that was provided to us to cut out the needed tabs. This material size is 4”L x 2”W and .028” thick.

Second & third picture is the finished job with the “tabs” cut into the material. We punched a few out just so you can see the size of them.
These tabs were either 3.3mm x 2.4mm or 2.8mm x 1.1mm
That is a very small paper clip for size comparison.

We had another eventful day at Wire EDM Services. Last December, we got our first AgieCharmilles CUT F 600 EDM Machine from GF Machining Solutions USA(the FIRST one in the Southeast) and we decided we wanted to buy two more. We are in the process of eliminating some of our older machines (ones that we have used for 18 years). Out with the old and in with the new!

As you can see in the pictures, it was a very tight fit for these machines to go through the opening down to our EDM room so it was nerve wrecking for sure. We are scheduled to get these two up and running next week!

Big thanks to with RayTech Machine Tools, Inc for being the absolute BEST salesman there is! He is your go-to for anything EDM, machining, tooling, CMM.

Today has been an exciting and eventful day at Wire EDM Services. We are starting to slowly replace some of the older machines with some brand new ones!

Today we got in our GF Machining Solutions USA AgieCharmilles CUT F 600, fresh off the ship from Switzerland. This machine is so new that we received the very FIRST one in the whole Southeast! We are scheduled to get this up and running next week.
