As we celebrate this Independence Day, may we be reminded that the strongest teams - and the strongest nations - are built on faith, family, freedom, and selfless service. At Southside Christian Rec Football, we pray that every practice, every huddle, every challenge overcome teaches our youngest Sabres that success is earned, teammates become family, and character matters long after the final whistle. We're grateful to God for His many blessings and for the opportunity to coach our players to compete with character, lead with humility, and honor Him in all they do.

Sabre Dads, Grand Dads & like a Dads,
Youth football is about much more than touchdowns, wins, and championships. It's about building character, learning resilience, developing discipline, and understanding what it means to be part of something bigger than yourself. Those lessons don't begin on the football field—they begin at home. Through your example, our players learn commitment, accountability, respect, and perseverance. They learn how to handle adversity, how to work hard for a goal, and how to treat others with integrity.
A special thank you goes to our coaches and Director who are all dads themselves. While balancing work, family, and countless responsibilities, you continue to pour your time, energy, and heart into not only your own children, but every player in this program. You coach football, but more importantly, you teach life. You model leadership, selflessness, and what it means to be a good man. The impact you make reaches far beyond the field.
Thank you all for your sacrifices. Thank you for your leadership. Thank you for your example. Most of all, thank you for helping raise the next generation of strong, respectful, hardworking young men.
