We’ll dub today’s race the Swanson Washout.

leaders did everything they could to continue the race but when lightning came, stopping the middle school girls shortly after they took off, then a downpour making the trails too wet to ride, the league called it off.

We got in a middle school boys race though, and to us, that still counts! One of our newest riders got 5th in 7/8 advanced, his brother got first in 8th grade, and our 6th grader placed 2nd! ALL 6 middle school boys did great, placing themselves in great positions for the next race line up!

Come watch them race with ‘home court’ advantage on Sunday 9/27 at Cone Park. These middle school winners take off at about 8:30am!

More SXC athletes on the road! Juliet finished the Dakota Five-O, a fifty mile mountain bike race in Spearfish, SD and placed 3rd in Junior Girls!

(Neil also rode and completed a grueling 36 miles)

Good training for the first official NICA race next Sunday in Bellevue NE!

First race in the books! The time trial sets the athletes up for which category they will be racing in, and how they will line up for the next four mass-start races!

We're SO proud of our Siouxland Composite athletes, especially our new ones who are just learning the ropes of mountain bike racing and totally rocked it!

These athletes are 5th through 12th grade, and from almost all different schools - everywhere from Sioux City to Ida Grove and as far away as Spencer!

Mark your calendars to come to the Sioux City race and cheer on our local athletes! Sunday, September 27 at Cone Park. Middle School starts at 8:30, High School starts about 11:15.

Race Night at Great Bear!

The singletrack trail system at Great Bear will be reserved for the Sioux Falls Bike Racing event on Wednesday, July 8, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

If you've been thinking about giving racing a try, this is a great opportunity! Whether you're chasing the podium or just looking for a fun challenge, riders of all experience levels are encouraged to come out and participate.

Not racing? Swing by during Chill on the Hill, grab some food, enjoy the atmosphere, and cheer on the racers as they make their way around the course.

Thanks for helping us keep the trails safe for everyone. We'll see you at Great Bear!
