Race Night at Great Bear!

The singletrack trail system at Great Bear will be reserved for the Sioux Falls Bike Racing event on Wednesday, July 8, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

If you've been thinking about giving racing a try, this is a great opportunity! Whether you're chasing the podium or just looking for a fun challenge, riders of all experience levels are encouraged to come out and participate.

Not racing? Swing by during Chill on the Hill, grab some food, enjoy the atmosphere, and cheer on the racers as they make their way around the course.

Thanks for helping us keep the trails safe for everyone. We'll see you at Great Bear!

NOS Switchback Showdown needs help with setting up the race on Saturday evening and running the event Sunday morning. Some of these opportunities include you, on a bike, on the trails!

Our mountain bike racing league is under a national organization, NICA. There is a program inside that organization called Girls Riding Together (GRiT). This wonderful program states: "Currently, girls represent 24% of NICA’s overall national student-athlete participation. NICA GRiT seeks to increase that number significantly over the next five years. The GRiT Program is NICA’s effort to recruit and retain more girls and female coaches in NICA programs.

Can you help?? The NOS Switchback Showdown is coming to Sioux City in a few weeks! Race will be Sunday morning of Trailfest weekend (June 27 & 28) and NOS has asked if the Siouxland Composite Youth Mountain Biking Team can coordinate volunteers for this race.

If enough volunteers commit to helping, SXC MTB will receive $500 donation towards team expenses!
