We overheard one of our members joking with a coach this morning. She said, “Hey, I’m just trying to stay out of the nursing home.”
We laughed, but she wasn’t wrong.
What we do at Beo isn’t just about getting through a good workout. It’s about staying fit, strong, and capable long enough to actually live your life the way you want to, for way longer than most people expect.
And when you’re fitter and stronger, you look better, feel better, and carry more confidence too.
That means more yeses. The hike you’d normally skip. The trip you’d talk yourself out of. The day spent chasing grandkids around the yard instead of watching from a chair.
So yeah, we’ll help keep you out of the nursing home. But it’s so much more than that.

Ps: if you recognize this song, it’s high time you start thinking about avoiding the nursing home 😉

It’s going to be HOT again this week, folks.🔥
Even though the AC’s cranked in the gym, 100°+ temps outside (and that humidity! 🥵) still take a toll on your body before you even walk through our doors.
Swipe through for the science on why heat makes everything feel harder, plus what to do about it.
We’re not saying take the week off…we’d miss you! Just hydrate hard and give yourself some grace on pace this week. See you soon! 💪

The CrossFit Games are on this week, and they're showcasing some of the fittest people in the world.
But the Games aren't really what CrossFit is.
Saying you can't do CrossFit because you can't do what they do at the Games is like saying you shouldn't drive because you wouldn't qualify for the Indy 500. One is the elite top of the sport. The other is just showing up and going where you need to go.
It makes zero sense.
CrossFit is about becoming stronger than you were yesterday. It's discovering what you're capable of. It's your first pull-up. Your first box jump. Your first bodyweight deadlift. Your lifetime PR.
It's expert coaching, quality movement, and workouts that are individually scaled so every person can succeed.
It's ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things through fitness.
Yes, we've had athletes qualify for higher levels of CrossFit competition. We've also celebrated first box jumps, first push-ups, and members who simply wanted to feel better than they did a few months ago. They're all doing CrossFit.
We believe that everyone, regardless of where they start, deserves a chance to see what they're capable of and CrossFit is a way to uncover that.
If you've ever thought CrossFit wasn't for you because of what you saw at the Games, don't let the elite level of the sport keep you from experiencing the methodology that has changed millions of lives.
You don't need to qualify for the Indy 500 to drive. And you don't need to be a Games athlete to discover what you're capable of.

You guys ever hear your coaches use the term: progressive overload?
It just means giving your body a reason to keep changing… getting stronger and more fit. If nothing about your training gets harder over time, your body has no reason to get stronger, build muscle, or improve.
Progressive overload isn’t just “add more weight” although that’s one lever.
You don’t need to memorize six different ways to get better or know when to change things… That’s our job. Yours is to show up and put in the work. We handle which lever, when, and why.
And it’s not a guess. Every lift gets tracked in SugarWOD, or logged by your coach if you’re in private training. Either way, the progress is on the record.

Did you know the people closest to you help pick your habits?
Every choice in part is shaped by the people you spend time with.
Science backs this up: Harvard tracked people for 85 years and found relationships predict your health better than your genes do.
If you e been trying to change alone, that’s not a willpower problem, it’s an environment problem.
That’s why we built a community and support system, not just workout. Get yourself surrounded by people who make showing up the easy choice. 💚

Fueling a young athlete for practice or game time isn't that different from fueling yourself for training.
That surprises a lot of parents. There's no secret kid formula, no special supplements, no magic pre-game meal.
It's the same stuff we coach adults on every day: enough food, a carb source, protein, fruits and veggies at every meal, and smart timing around training.
The differences? Growing bodies need MORE fuel than you'd think, and what they eat in the hour before practice matters a lot for how their stomach feels mid-workout.
This week we shared our Fueling Young Athletes guide with the moms of 3 young girls who are serious about their sport and just started training with us to get better.
It covers everyday nutrition, what to eat before and after practice, and how to talk about food and with your kid.

Feel attacked? 😳It’s okay, you’re not alone.
A lot of us stay on track Monday-Thursday and fall completely off the wagon over the weekend.
We have every intention of creating delicious, healthy recipes and hit the drive-thru instead because we’re far too busy and tired by dinner time to make them.
We have a ton of knowledge about what healthy eating looks like and no accountability to put that knowledge into practice.
This is where nutrition coaching comes in. 🤝
We give you strategies to stay on track all week long so you’re not starting over every Monday.
We help you figure out what is realistic for you as far as meal prep or stocking ready-to-eat options so you can grab something good for you when you’re hangry.
We’ll give you the information you need but, more importantly, keep you accountable so you’ll implement it.
Shoot us a message and set up a chat with a coach. Finally get on track with your nutrition and see some big results!
