Introducing Charge the Cliff!

On Tuesday, October 13, Briar Cliff is joining the national Exercise is Medicine On Campus Walking Challenge, and we want the entire BCU community moving with us! From 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., every mile walked or moved by wheelchair will count toward both your BCU team total and Briar Cliff’s national EIM-OC total.

-Represent your team and compete for the Charge the Cliff Perpetual Trophy
-Log your miles to earn entries into raffles for prizes from local Sioux City businesses
-Walk for 10 minutes, an hour, or as much as you can. You do not have to participate all day!

One day. One campus. Every mile counts. Let’s Charge the Cliff! ⚡️

Students in our Motor Learning & Control class kicked off their community-based learning experiences this past week! Throughout the semester, students will work with community partners and participants across the lifespan, putting classroom concepts into practice as they design, lead, evaluate, and adapt movement experiences.

From young children to older adults, these hands-on experiences give students the opportunity to grow as instructors while making meaningful connections in our community.

We’re excited to see their programs develop throughout the semester! 💙💛

Ready to turn your passion for health, fitness, and human movement into a career? 💪

Briar Cliff’s Human Performance major gives students hands-on experience studying how the body responds to exercise while building the knowledge and skills needed to help others live healthier, more active lives.

Students gain real-world experience, work with industry-standard equipment and technology, and develop practical skills that can prepare them for careers in strength and conditioning, personal training, exercise physiology, coaching, wellness, and more.

Turn your passion for movement into a career that makes an impact.

We love seeing our athletes and students using their talents and getting involved in the community!

Assistant Professor Courtney Kuenn and students Harper Benson and Trace Egge recently had the opportunity to participate in a press conference at the Sioux City Public Library to share more about StoryMoves!

We love seeing our EHS faculty and students get involved, make connections, and make an impact in the Sioux City community.
