Followers and friends: We'd like to post an update from our dear friend Jen Reinke, #3. After 5 weeks of treatment, she has entered "monitor" mode and is bidding Mayo farewell for the next 3 months!
Jen, eloquent and wise as ever, had these powerful words to share:
"There are dark seasons. Wilderness seasons that try to derail and disrupt. But in those seasons... you find out who you are, what you're made of and who is with you. And it's humbling and amazing all at the same time.
.. I'll be back in 3 months to see what's happening after radiation. And I can't wait to see what God will do. 💪🏻❤️"

We’re blowing this popsicle joint - she declined discharge transport and we’re walking out of here! We are taking her home to continue recovery and await her final radiation schedule - they said radiation will likely start end of this month and they want her to do 5 straight weeks of radiation at Mayo so she’ll be spending most of the rest of 2025 at Mayo. She’s a champ in every way. 💪🏼😊 THANK YOU for your prayers and encouragement - Jen wants y’all know how helpful it was to have you all in her corner!

JR3 is out of surgery! She’s groggy but stable and doing well! The tumor was tricky so they couldn’t remove it, but they now know what it is and how to stop it from growing more so we’ll be walking her through the next couple months of surgery recovery and radiation. Glad she’s on the other side of this surgery and that we have some answers! Well done JR3…rest up and recover! We’re with you! 💪🏼❤️🏈

Friends and encouragers: JR3’s Mayo Clinic journey to healing starts today with a full day of pre-surgical appointments and an updated brain scan in preparation for the big day tomorrow. We’ll update everyone here tomorrow after her brain surgery…Feel free to post your encouraging words here (tag Jen Reinke), and maybe even post a selfie of you in your JR3 support shirt. We’ll be sure to share it all with her.

Sioux Falls Snow Leopards ask for Support for their Teammate suffering from a Brain Tumor The Women’s Tackle Football team is rallying around their quarterback and raising awareness for her condition.

Hey friends, family, and fans…calling on y’all for a little love and help. Our SFSL teammate, top tier QB, and friend, Jen Reinke ( #3), was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor and we’ve been navigating the emotions and logistics of this surprise with her. An exact treatment plan is still being worked out by Mayo Clinic specialists, but Jen expects to be making lots of trips to Mayo in the near future for over 35 days of treatment (and based off our initial trip to Mayo, it’ll likely require about $300/day in travel costs). We’re doing an upcharged tshirt/hoodie fundraiser to show our support and raise a little money to help with her travel costs (especially since medical costs will be above and beyond travel costs).

Here’s the thought: Sometimes finding the right words to let people know we’re thinking of them and wanting to be support for them is hard, so I figured I could take a selfie whenever I wear this tshirt and send it to Jen via text or Facebook to remind her I’m with her and in her corner…and if others did the same it would be a fun way to show support and she could see our faces through her upcoming Mayo journey and I’m certain she’d love that! So here are the details:

While it wasn’t the way we wanted to end the season, we certainly want to acknowledge the play to the last whistle of the last play in the last quarter in the last game mentality of our players and coaches and give props yet again to our Players of the Game - well done Emma, you’ve been a force to be reckoned with and a positive voice in our ear all season!
