A cool night at the diamond is still better than a nice day at work

Make up games for Monday, May 18th 10U and 12U games were rained out and they will be played on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

SEFSA Weather & Make‑Up Game Update

Yesterday was a good example of how we handle weather. Even with a prediction of rain around 4:00, we plan on playing unless conditions on the fields force a different decision. Our crews were putting bases in and lining fields when the weather shifted enough that we had to call games off. That’s how fast things can change.

As a reminder:

Temperature alone is not a cancellation reason. Forecasts move all over the place, and we’ve all seen nights where it warms up or the wind dies down right before game time.

If it rains the night before or early morning, we walk the diamonds between 2:00–3:00 PM. If we need to cancel, we will post on Facebook and notify coaches by 3:30 PM.

If rain comes after 2:00 PM, we continue as scheduled until we can evaluate field conditions and safety.

Make‑Up Games
Last year, coaches overwhelmingly asked that we schedule make‑ups as soon as possible — even if that means teams may need to play on a different league night.

Monday/Wednesday leagues may have make‑ups on Tuesday or Thursday. Of course this depends on open fields and umpire availability.

Some age divisions simply won’t have the flexibility due to field usage and the number of teams.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through weather, field conditions, and a very full summer schedule. SEFSA goal is always to get games played safely and keep the season moving.
