Dance Gallery of South Dakota

Through our unique leadership training program, we teach excellence in dance education. We are located in the Historic Downtown Sioux Falls area on Main Avenue.

We are a dance school that believes in teaching proper technique to each student that walks through our doors while instilling a love and passion for dance. The building contains six dance studios with a sprung floor system. Our schedule changes every year and includes classes for children as well as adults. Here are just a few classes we offer:

We invite all of our DGYB and Dance Gallery students to attend our Winter Ballet auditions for both Peter and the Wolf and La Fille mal gardée. The auditions will take place on Saturday, October 3rd (time to soon be announced). The costuming, choreography, music, set pieces, lighting design, and historical details of these ballets will be something you will not want to miss being a part of.

💃✨Meet Ms. Josie! Josie LOVES coffee, and has been dancing at Dance Gallery for about 15 years! She has a wonderful demeanor with our younger kids and loves teaching ballet!

💃✨ Week One of Dance Classes is in the books! ✨🩰

What a fun start to the dance season! Our Monday classes were full of big smiles, new friendships, hard work, and LOTS of dancing. We loved welcoming both our littlest dancers and our adult dancers back into the studio! 💗

Our first DG/DGYB alumni feature is for, Rebekah! Rebekah has been dancing as a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet and learning from some of the country's greatest ballet and contemporary instructors. Rebekah has had many opportunities to shine in the Big Apple in performances such as: The Nutcracker, a Times Square flash mob, a music video, a performance at an Artech house, and even in Jagged Little Pill, the musical in NJ. Rebekah will now be in an Apprenticeship with the New York Dance Project and will continue her training and performing in NYC.

Rebekah is quite the talented dancer and has already been making her dreams come true since her time at Dance Gallery! We are so proud of you! Keep shining bright !

Last night kicked off our 2026-2027 dance season, and we couldn’t be more excited! Seeing our dancers back in the studio, meeting new faces, and getting ready for an incredible year was the perfect way to start the season. ❤️
