🥊🥊 We are less than two weeks away from the show and according to the match ups it's looking to be an action packed show!! We have bouts from debuts to national ranking boxers on the card! 🥊🥊

💜💙 Most importantly though we are not wanting to forget that September is Su***de awareness month and we will take some time to talk to the athletes. 💜💙

We are welcoming Angela Drake a certified mental health coach! She will be addressing mental strength and confidence to the athletes and coaches.

Here is a little bio on her.

Angela Drake is the founder and president of Fight Like A Ninja, created in memory of her daughter, Brittany “The Ninja” Corcoran. Through advocacy, education, connection, and community programs, Angela has turned unimaginable loss into a mission to remind others they matter and that no one should fight alone. Her message is simple and at the heart of everything Fight Like A Ninja does: We started because one girl mattered. Now thousands know they do.

Vargas Boxing is proud to host the **1st Annual Manny Memorial Show** on **Saturday, September 26, 2026**, at the YMCA in downtown Sioux Falls.

Join us for an afternoon of exciting USA Boxing amateur competition as athletes from across the region step into the ring to showcase their hard work, discipline, and heart.

This event is held in loving memory of our son, Manny. Boxing was more than a sport to him—it was a place where he found purpose, friendships, and confidence. We hope this annual event honors his legacy by bringing our boxing community together and inspiring the next generation of athletes.

September is **Su***de Awareness Month**, and while this event is first and foremost a celebration of boxing and Manny's life, we also hope it serves as a reminder to check in on one another. A simple conversation, a kind word, or showing up for someone can make more of a difference than we realize.

The team took a trip to Valley Fair for some bonding time a couple weeks ago! For some it was a first on a rollercoaster. Obviously the coaches took dibs on the newbies.
