Volunteer Dive Rescue and Recovery Team for Minnehaha County, South Dakota. This page is to promote a branch of the Minnehaha County Emergency Management.
We are an all volunteer Dive Team that may be called out to a scene by text message 24 hours a day seven days a week. Responding to the scene from anywhere, the Team equipment trailer is delivered for us by the Rescue Squad. We perform recoveries of vehicles (boats, cars, and ATV's.) Additionally, we perform body and evidence recoveries assisting/supporting local law enforcement. Our most public

Annual skills assessments and navigating through entanglement props kept our divers occupied this past month.

This past weekend members of our team joined Sioux Falls Fire Rescue in a dive rescue training course with Dive Rescue International - Public Safety. This course included classroom work and practicing skills in the pool and lake. Solid work done by all participants!
