We’re excited to offer “Get My DUPR” Clinics with Geneva Olson for players who do NOT yet have a DUPR rating and want an accurate starting point along with personalized feedback on their game.

⚠️ These sessions are ONLY for non-rated players who do not currently have an assigned DUPR score.

Following this 1-hour on-court evaluation, every player will receive:
✅ A detailed written evaluation
✅ Personalized feedback
✅ An assigned DUPR rating

These sessions are designed to help players better understand their game, improve with confidence, and find the right level of play.

Introducing: Pickleball 101 — a new series from The Jar created to help make pickleball more approachable, less confusing, and more welcoming for everyone. Whether you’re stepping onto the court for the very first time or just trying to learn the “pickleball lingo,” we want to help you feel confident and connected in our community!

First topic: DUPR.

Have you ever heard someone say, “I’m a 3.5” or noticed ratings attached to events on our schedule and wondered what everyone was talking about? You’re definitely not alone.

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is one of the most commonly used rating systems in pickleball. It’s designed to help players find others at a similar skill level, create more balanced games, and make competitive play more enjoyable for everyone involved.

But here’s the important thing:
A rating is just a tool — not a label. Everyone starts somewhere, and every player’s journey looks different. Whether you’re brand new to the game or chasing improvement, there’s a place for you on the courts at The Jar. 🙌

No rating? No problem. DUPR is completely optional — plenty of players come just to play, move, and have fun.

Our goal with Pickleball 101 is simple:
Break down the parts of pickleball that can feel intimidating, answer common questions, and help grow a fun, welcoming community where more people feel comfortable getting in the game. 🔥

Join us at The Jar Pickleball Club for an exciting week of pickleball fun designed for kids ages 8–13!

Our 5-day Summer Kids Camp is all about building skills, confidence, sportsmanship, and a love for the game in a fun, positive, and energetic environment. Each 2-hour session will combine:
🔨 Fundamentals & drills
🎯 Games & strategy
🤝 Teamwork & sportsmanship
🎉 Fun activities + daily snacks

Campers will be coached by Rachel Boer — South Dakota’s top-rated female pickleball player and an experienced middle school teacher who loves helping young athletes grow both on and off the court.

The week wraps up with a Friday mini tournament where players can show off everything they’ve learned! 👏
