The South Dakota Parkinson’s Foundation held their Spring Awareness Conference this past weekend. Coach Lisa and several Rock Steady Boxing fighters were honored to be asked to present and demonstrate at the Friday night meet and greet with this year’s keynote speaker, Maryum “May May” Ali!

Maryum is Muhammed Ali’s oldest daughter, and she was so tickled to see photographs of her father’s likeness as the backdrop of our gym. She signed autographs, spoke about her father’s journey with Parkinson’s, shared her insight into this chronic disease and shared many wonderful stories about her father.

Attendees enjoyed many other speakers of varying topics and explored the vendor fair where Rock Steady Boxing had a booth.
