Due to the Center for Disease Control's recommendations regarding events and group size as a result of the COVID 19 virus, it is with a very heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of the 2020 Sisters 'Better Half' Marathon. I am currently deciding exactly what steps to take next, so if you have registered, please watch your email inbox and this page for more information in the coming days. I am so very sorry.

With COVID-19 becoming more of an issue in the United States, in general, and, more specifically, in the Pacific Northwest, I feel that it's time for the Better Half to address this.

As of now, there is no plan to cancel the Better Half. I have not received any word from any agencies that the Better Half works with regarding this, but if I do, I will let you all know immediately what I hear.

There will likely be some new policies at aid stations and the finish line, particularly pertaining to food handling, but those will be easy for all to adhere to.

There are still about spots remaining, so get 'em while they're hot!

Registration for the 9th annual Sisters Better Half Marathon opens on Sunday, January 26 at 9 a.m. PST via ultrasignup. That's TODAY!! Race date will be Saturday, May 2.

Bonus: if you're already registered for the Peterson Ridge Rumble 20 or 40 miler the weekend before (April 26), then you qualify for a $5 discount on your Better Half registration by using the discount code: rumble20. Note: if you use this code and are not already registered for the Rumble, your Better Half registration will be cancelled.
