Sometimes the hardest person to tell the truth to is ourselves. šŸ¤

08/17/2026

After spending last week exploring each of the seven chakras, I wanted to show you a little glimpse into one of the ways I work with energy in my own practice. šŸ¤

Reiki gives you something many of us don’t give ourselves nearly enough of…

Space to stop doing and simply receive.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, energetically drained, or simply curious about Reiki, I’d love to create that space for you.

I’m currently booking Reiki sessions. Send me a DM with REIKI and I’ll send you the details. šŸ¤

And just like that, we’ve made our way to the final chakra in this series. šŸ¤

The Crown Chakra.

Located at the top of the head, the Crown Chakra is associated with spiritual connection, higher consciousness, wisdom and our connection to something greater than ourselves.

And for me, this one brings up one word more than anything else:

Surrender.

Not giving up.

Not sitting back and waiting for life to happen.

But releasing this idea that I have to control every detail of how my life unfolds.

And whew… this has been a big one for me. šŸ˜‚

I like a plan.

I like knowing what comes next.

I like being able to see how Point A is eventually going to get me to Point B.

But some of the most meaningful parts of my life have required me to move forward without knowing exactly how everything was going to work out.

To listen. To trust.

To take the next step even when I couldn’t see the entire staircase.

The Crown Chakra reminds me that maybe we’re not supposed to have all the answers.

Maybe part of our journey here is learning when to take action and when to loosen our grip.

To trust ourselves.

To trust God, the Universe, whatever that greater connection means to you.

And to believe that sometimes things are unfolding in ways we simply can’t see yet.

As we’ve moved through all seven chakras this week, I’ve realized how beautifully they build upon one another.

We ground ourselves. ā¤ļø
We allow ourselves to feel and create. 🧔
We step into our power. šŸ’›
We open our hearts. šŸ’š
We speak our truth. šŸ’™
We listen to our inner wisdom. šŸ’œ
And finally, we surrender and connect to something greater. šŸ¤

Maybe coming back into balance isn’t about becoming someone new at all.

Maybe it’s about coming home to every part of ourselves.

And trusting where that leads us.

So I’ll leave you with one final question:

What might you finally be ready to surrender instead of trying so hard to control? šŸ¤

Today we’re moving into the Third Eye Chakra. šŸ’œ

And this one might be one of my favorites because it’s all about intuition, inner wisdom and learning to trust what we know within ourselves.

Have you ever known something before you could explain why you knew it?

You had a feeling about a person.

Something about an opportunity didn’t feel right.

You knew it was time to make a change.

Or there was this quiet little voice telling you to take a different path.

And then your brain got involved. šŸ˜‚

You analyzed it.

Asked everyone else what they thought.

Made the pros and cons list.

Talked yourself out of what you felt because you couldn’t logically explain it.

I’ve done this more times than I can count.

The Third Eye Chakra is associated with intuition, insight, awareness, imagination and our ability to see beyond what’s right in front of us.

And I think one of the hardest things about intuition is that it usually doesn’t come with proof.

It whispers.

And when we’ve spent years looking outside ourselves for answers, that whisper can be really easy to dismiss.

But the more I’ve slowed down and created space for stillness, the more I’ve realized how much wisdom was already there.

Maybe intuition isn’t something we need to find.

Maybe we need to get quiet enough to hear it.

That doesn’t mean every thought or feeling is some divine message. Discernment matters too.

But I do think there’s something powerful about learning the difference between the noise of fear and the quiet knowing within us.

Sometimes we don’t need another opinion.

We don’t need another sign.

We don’t need someone else to give us permission.

Sometimes we already know.

The work is learning to trust ourselves enough to listen. šŸ’œ

So today, sit with this question:

What do I already know that I keep asking someone else to confirm? šŸ¤”

Today we’re ā€œspeakingā€ about the Throat Chakra. šŸ’™

And this one is all about finding and using your voice.

The Throat Chakra is associated with communication, self-expression, authenticity and speaking your truth.

But I think speaking our truth is about so much more than the words that come out of our mouths.

It’s also about all the times we silence ourselves.

Saying yes when we really want to say no.

Keeping quiet because we don’t want to disappoint someone.

Not asking for what we need because we’re afraid of being ā€œtoo much.ā€

Changing our opinion depending on who is in the room.

Swallowing what we really want to say because keeping the peace feels safer than being honest.

I think a lot of us learned somewhere along the way that being liked, accepted or easy to be around was more important than being fully ourselves.

So we edit.

We soften.

We shrink.

And sometimes we do it for so long that we stop even asking ourselves what we actually think, feel or want.

Finding your voice isn’t about becoming louder.

It’s about becoming more honest.

It’s being able to say, ā€œThis doesn’t work for me anymore.ā€

ā€œI need something different.ā€

ā€œNo.ā€

ā€œYes.ā€

ā€œThis is what I want.ā€

ā€œThis is who I am.ā€

And allowing those words to be enough without writing an entire dissertation explaining why. šŸ˜‚

Your truth doesn’t become less true because someone else doesn’t understand it.

And your voice doesn’t only matter when everyone agrees with you.

Maybe part of coming home to ourselves is learning to stop swallowing the words our soul has been trying to say all along. šŸ’™

So today, sit with this:

Where in my life am I still silencing myself to make someone else more comfortable?

And maybe an even bigger question…

What would I say if I wasn’t afraid of how it would be received?

Today we’re moving into the Heart Chakra. šŸ’š

When we think about the heart, we naturally think about love.

Loving our partners. Our children. Our families. Our friends.

But the Heart Chakra goes deeper than the love we give to other people.

It’s also about the love we’re willing to receive.

And that one has me thinking.

Because I think a lot of us are really good at giving.

We take care of people. We show up. We support. We listen. We hold space. We love deeply.

But receiving?

That can be harder.

Especially when life has taught you to be strong. To handle things yourself. To protect your heart because you know what it feels like to have it broken.

Sometimes the walls we build are necessary for a season.

But eventually we have to ask ourselves if those walls are still protecting us or if they’re keeping something beautiful from getting in.

The Heart Chakra is associated with love, compassion, forgiveness, connection and emotional openness. And when I think about bringing more balance to this part of ourselves, I don’t think it means walking around with our hearts wide open to everyone.

Boundaries still matter.

I think it means allowing our hearts to soften without abandoning ourselves.

Letting ourselves love and be loved.

Giving ourselves the same compassion we so freely give to everyone else.

Allowing people to show up for us.

Forgiving where we’re ready, including ourselves.

And remembering that keeping our hearts open is not weakness.

It takes incredible courage to remain soft in a world that has given us plenty of reasons to harden.

So today, maybe ask yourself:

Where have I protected my heart so well that I’ve also made it difficult for love to get in?

And maybe the work isn’t tearing down every wall at once.

Maybe it’s just opening a little window. šŸ’š

Today we’re moving into the Solar Plexus Chakra. šŸ’›

This one is all about personal power.

Confidence.
Self-worth.
Trusting yourself.
Believing that your voice, your choices, and your desires matter.

And honestly, I think this is an area a lot of us struggle with more than we realize.

How often do we know what we want, but immediately start asking everyone else what they think?

How often do we second-guess ourselves because someone else doesn’t understand our decision?

How often do we hand our power over without even realizing we’re doing it?

I’ve done this so many times in my own life.

I’ve looked outside of myself for reassurance, validation, and permission, especially when I was making a choice that didn’t fit the traditional path.

But the more inner work I do, the more I realize that self-trust isn’t something we magically wake up with one day.

We build it.

Every time we honor a feeling.
Every time we say no when something doesn’t feel right.
Every time we make a decision without polling the entire room.
Every time we choose what feels true for us, even when someone else doesn’t understand it.

That’s how we take our power back.

The Solar Plexus Chakra reminds us that confidence doesn’t mean having all the answers.

Sometimes confidence simply means trusting yourself enough to take the next step.

So here’s something to sit with today:

Where in my life am I giving someone else authority over something I already know?

That answer might tell you exactly where your power is waiting to come home. šŸ’›

When was the last time you did something simply because it felt good?

Not because it was productive.
Not because you could monetize it.
Not because someone needed something from you.

Just because you enjoyed it.

That’s something I’ve been thinking about as I’ve learned more about the Sacral Chakra. 🧔

The Sacral Chakra is associated with creativity, emotion, pleasure, sensuality and our ability to experience joy.

And I think adulthood can slowly disconnect us from this part of ourselves.

We become so responsible.

We work.
We take care of people.
We manage schedules.
We check things off lists.

And somewhere along the way, we can forget how to play.

How to create without needing an outcome.

How to experience pleasure without feeling like we should be doing something more productive.

Maybe joy doesn’t need to be earned.

Maybe creativity doesn’t need to produce anything.

Maybe some things are allowed to exist simply because they make us feel alive.

So here’s today’s question:

What makes you feel alive simply because you love doing it?

And when was the last time you made room for it? 🧔

08/10/2026

Let’s start at the beginning. ā¤ļø

The Root Chakra is all about our foundation.

Safety. Security. Stability. Belonging. Feeling grounded enough to trust that we’re going to be okay.

And this one has really made me think about how much our sense of safety affects everything else.

Because when life has pulled the rug out from underneath you, whether that’s through job loss, financial uncertainty, relationships, grief or simply a season where everything feels unsettled, it’s hard to think about growth when part of you is still looking for solid ground.

Sometimes we try to think our way out of that feeling.

But sometimes what we really need is to come back into our bodies and into the present moment.

Go outside.
Put your feet on the earth.
Take a walk.
Breathe.
Create some structure in your day.
Spend time somewhere you feel safe.

Remind yourself: I’m here. Right now. In this moment.

I think we spend so much time trying to ā€œriseā€ that we forget how important it is to have roots.

You need both.

So today, ask yourself:

What helps me feel safe, grounded and supported in my life?

And maybe even more importantly…

Where have I been searching for safety outside of myself? ā¤ļø
