Effective Friday morning, September 4, Snohomish County’s burn ban will be reduced from Stage 2 to Stage 1 following the recent rain and improved weather conditions. This applies to all Snohomish County Parks.
Under a Stage 1 burn ban, recreational and cooking fires are allowed in approved fire pits. Residential open burning is still prohibited.
Recreational fires must:
Be no larger than 3 feet wide and 2 feet high
Be at least 25 feet from structures or combustible materials
Have a water source readily available
If a Red Flag Warning is issued, all outdoor burning, including recreational fires, is prohibited.
Please use common sense and burn responsibly. Keep a hose, fire extinguisher, or 5-gallon bucket of water nearby, and if conditions don’t look right, don’t burn.
