*** Race Recap ***

With what started out as a promising day quickly turned into a day that we are so glad to put behind us. Speed in morning practice was really good and consistent throughout the morning. Made minor adjustments that continued to help and were very happy with the results. However, we had to run and grab some rotors due to cracking and pads for both front hubs. Our fist practice was a seating and checking to make sure we had brakes that led into the second practice as a qualifying session. (Not ideal but it is what it is). Ultimately guessed at what we thought we needed and it didn’t work out. From morning practice to controlled practice in the evening we lost 1/2 a second 🤦🏽‍♂️. Started 7th in the first race and finished 6th. Second race we started 2nd due to the invert and then we could not get in line. Running sixth and was then wrecked and drove through in turns 3 & 4. Restarted last and drove back to 7th in 5 laps and finished 7th. We just received a call that during post race tech inspection two cars were disqualified from both races giving us a 4th and a 5th place finish for the night. Sometimes you gotta take what is given even though we are very frustrated with how the day went. We’ll return in a few weeks to end the year at ACE Speedway but we got some work to do.

Time to get back after it. The car is ready, the team is ready, and it’s time to go to work.
We’re heading to the track tomorrow looking to put the #77 Folsom Fence Supply Toyota up front and bring home solid finishes. 💪

It’s unfortunate but no race for us tonight. We’ll take this time to look at track schedules in the area and see if some tracks fit our schedule. We’ll keep you posted as to what we decide to do.

Tonight’s races at Ace Speedway have been CANCELED.

Due to the expected storms this evening, along with the threat of strong wind gusts, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s racing program, Friday, September 18.

We appreciate everyone who planned to join us tonight and understand how disappointing weather cancellations can be for our drivers, teams, fans, and sponsors.

The Bowman Gray Modifieds and Bowman Gray Sportsman will be RESCHEDULED for October 9 and will return to Ace Speedway!

With what could have been a simple fix turned into a much bigger deal than we thought! After post tech inspection at the last race we found a front seal to be bad. Under further investigation we also found another problem resulting in us removing the motor and fixing the needed repairs. Our owner and driver removed the motor, replaced the parts, and set the motor back in under 5 hours. Thankfully nothing was catastrophic but when you are a small family race team, you gotta do what you gotta do!
