One of the questions we hear most often from parents is:
“Do you allow boys to take dance class?”
Absolutely - in fact we think boys should dance and we strive to make our classes full of imagery and exercises that benefit and interest both boys and girls.
Ballet helps boys develop strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness. It also builds confidence, focus, and discipline—skills that carry over into sports, school, and everyday life.
In fact, many athletes use ballet as cross-training because it improves movement, control, and helps reduce the risk of injury.
But beyond the physical benefits, dance can allow boys a way to communicate freely through movement and music, teaches perseverance and self expression. Students learn that progress comes from consistency, patience, and hard work. The benefits are endless.
At Studio en Avant, we believe dance is for everyone -boys, girls, young and old. And we all benefit from a a world where people take joy from movement and music!
