🔥 YOU’VE BEEN WAITING… AND WE’VE BEEN FIGHTING. 🔥

It’s been a little quiet from the Weber Performance Group camp, but trust us — we haven’t stopped working.

This summer has thrown just about everything it could at the #17 Super Late Model. We’ve fought through the bugs, the mechanical issues, the long nights, and the growing pains of a new car. But every time it knocked us down, we went back to the shop, learned something, and kept digging.

And now… we think we may finally have this thing RIGHT. 👀🔥

There couldn’t be a better time to find out.

📍 Grundy County Speedway
📅 Saturday, September 19th

One of the biggest nights of the year. One of the biggest races at Grundy. And the Weber Performance Group #17 is getting ready to roll in hungry.

We’ve been fighting all summer.

Now it’s time to see if the fight pays off. 😤🏁

The 17 is coming.
LET’S GO MAKE SOME NOISE. 🔥🔥🔥

What a night at Grundy County Speedway.

The heat wasn't the only thing we were battling.

Right out of practice we started having power steering issues, blowing fluid everywhere under the hood. It cut our practice short, which led to a disappointing qualifying effort, putting the #17 Weber Performance Group Super 15th on the grid.

Feature 1: We started 15th but only made it about a quarter of the race before the power steering leak got bad enough that we had to pull it in. The pump was done, and it was spraying fluid all over the engine compartment.

Between features we made the decision to clean the pump out, leave it empty, and just start and park the second feature to get through the night.

Well... once the green flag dropped, that plan went right out the window.

We stayed with the pack, picked off a couple of cars, and figured we'd already come this far—we might as well finish. Fifty laps later, with no power steering, we crossed the line 11th.

It was exhausting. It was hot. It wasn't the result we wanted, but this team never quit. Every week we're learning, fixing problems, and getting this new car closer to where we know it can be. The speed is coming—it's just baby steps, and we're headed in the right direction.

A huge thank you to everyone who gives their time to keep this car turning laps. We couldn't do it without you.

Huge shoutout to our amazing partners:
🏁 Spartamax – Keeping us rolling with top-notch lubricants.
🏁 Grip By Gille – Your knowledge and support have been invaluable. We wouldn't be where we are without you.
🏁 Flatlander Fab – Coloring awesome-looking chassis.
🏁 Interstate Battery of Rockford – For all your battery needs, be sure to check them out.
🏁 Empty Pockets Motorsports – Thanks for the killer vinyl work that keeps the #17 looking sharp.

We'll get everything repaired, regroup, and be ready to come back stronger. Thanks to everyone who continues to support Weber Performance Group. We'll see you at the next one! 🏁💪

It hasn't been the season we envisioned, but when you're building a brand-new Super Late Model program, challenges are part of the journey. We've spent the first half of the year finding the bugs, making improvements, and putting in the work behind the scenes.

Now it's time to see what we've got.

This Saturday, July 18th, the #17 Weber Performance Group Super Late returns to Grundy County Speedway for Round 4 of the Six Pack Summer Series. We're coming back hungry, motivated, and ready to make some noise.

The goal is simple: unload fast, race hard, and give the fans a show they'll remember.

Come pack the stands, make some noise, and let's light up Grundy County Speedway Saturday night! 🏁🔥

🏁 Race Recap – Grundy County Speedway 🏁

A night full of learning experiences and curveballs, but overall a solid step forward for the Weber Performance Group #17 Super Late Model.

We battled carburetor issues early in the night, but once we got them sorted out, the car had plenty of power. Now it's time for me to keep learning how to wheel this thing and continue getting more comfortable behind the wheel.
We finished 13th in the features and unfortunately pulled off early in the final feature with a mechanical issue. The good news is we found more of the bugs that come with a new program, and the car came home in one piece. Every lap is teaching us something, and the only direction from here is up.

A huge thank you to Jake Gille and Grip By Gille for helping make this car the best it could be, along with Steve Cavin, Ken Brazee, and Caleb Richards for all the hard work and support. Most importantly, thank you to the backbone of this team—my wife—for everything she does behind the scenes to keep this dream alive.

We are off for the next two weeks and will return to Grundy County Speedway on July 2nd for the Holiday Race. We'll get the issues fixed, keep working, and come back stronger.

Special thanks to our sponsors for their continued support:
Bill Balmes – Spartamax
Rick Britton – Interstate Batteries of Rockford
Ho**er Harness
Evan Burlo flatlander fab

Thank you to everyone who supports Weber Performance Group. The results may not be where we want them yet, but we're making progress every time we unload. See you all on July 2nd! 🇺🇸🏁
