Junior Metro Wraps Up!

Final round action in the 13-14 and 15-16 Divisions, wrapped up this morning under gorgeous, sunny skies and mild temperatures.

Joseph Morin won the 13-14 Boys Division, with rounds of 73 and 70, across the modified Par 60 layout at Studebaker. Miles Morel, who opened with a 79, matched Joseph’s 70 today to earn 2nd place.

Julie Hoyt was crowned 15-16 Girls Division champion, bettering her first round score by 4 shots today. Nice job, Julie!

In 15-16 Boys Division play, Sullivan Mammolenti began the final round one stroke ahead of Zach Brewer but pulled away, firing a sensational 59 (one under par). Sully’s round was highlighted by four birdies. Zach shot an impressive 65 to secure 2nd. Joel Gates finished with a 66, moving up into 3rd place.

Congratulations to our champions! We were thrilled to host all the boys and girls, and their families, this week. It was a wonderful time, with beautiful weather, spirited competition and great sportsmanship on display.

Thank you, as always, to First Tee Indiana, our Michiana Chapter, led by Jenny Zimmerman, for their great support and assistance throughout our 7th annual Junior Metro!

JUNIOR METRO UPDATE!

We've enjoyed two great days of golf from area children, with many amazing shots and even more smiles!

Here's a summary of our first two days...

In the "8 & Under" Division, Jackson Reeder earned the trophy with a wonderful round of 36 on our yardage adjusted Par 30 layout. Evan Endres and Camden Wiborn tied for 2nd at 41.

Lydia Forte was the Girls 9-10 Division champion, scoring 97 over her two 9-hole rounds.

Carter Redinbo won the Boys 9-10 Division, posting 75 for his 18-holes, edging Charlie Shaw and Asher Handyside by two shots.

In Girls 11-12 Division play, playing a longer course than the 9-10 golfers, Lidia Mammolenti cruised to her win with a 98 over her 18- holes. Ava Bittle finished 2nd.

Brian Brady bested Isaiah Johnson by 4 strokes, firing a 64, to win the 11-12 Boys Division. Brian made a beautiful birdie on our 5th hole during his first 9 holes.

Tomorrow's final day of competition will see winners crowned in our 13-14 Boys, 15-16 Girls and 15-16 Boys divisions.

HOLE-IN-ONE !

Congratulations to Jane Hoff for her Hole-in-One last Thursday at Studebaker!

Perhaps no one enjoys their golf more than Jane and she was rewarded with her ace on Hole #5, using an 8 iron. Way to go! 😍

JUNIOR METRO APPROACHES!

We're excited to host our 7th annual Greater South Bend Junior Metro, a FREE tournament for kids with golfing experience, July 21-23!

Our 6-8 year old Division plays on Tuesday, 9-10 and 11-12 on Tuesday and Wednesday, 13-14 and 15-16 play Wednesday and Thursday.

Schedule Update!

We're hoping all have enjoyed a happy and healthy winter season. Our traditional plan to open on or around April 1st, weather permitting, remains in place.

As the weather warms and the course dries out, we'll be able to get our equipment out onto the course to prepare it for the season. If we can open slightly before April 1st, we'll update right here.

Studebaker Season Passes, which will remain $199...and $149 for Seniors (62 & older), will be available for purchase on Opening Day.
