Schedule Update!

We're hoping all have enjoyed a happy and healthy winter season. Our traditional plan to open on or around April 1st, weather permitting, remains in place.

As the weather warms and the course dries out, we'll be able to get our equipment out onto the course to prepare it for the season. If we can open slightly before April 1st, we'll update right here.

Studebaker Season Passes, which will remain $199...and $149 for Seniors (62 & older), will be available for purchase on Opening Day.

Looking forward to seeing everyone very soon! 🥰

Terribly Sad News at Studebaker

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of our great friend, and Studebaker golf shop staff member, Jim Mason.

Jim was a friend to all who visited our golf course, taking great care of our golfers for several years.

Born in Weymouth, Massachusetts, Jim grew up in Hanover, MA, graduating from Hanover High School. He received his degree from Westfield State University, in Westfield, MA.

Although Jim once managed a golf course in Scituate, MA, his career was largely devoted to sales and development, working for several organizations: including Cadillac Coffee and The United Way.

Shortly after retiring, Jim joined our staff at Studebaker in 2020. His sales background and great interest in, and care for, our customers saw him have a tremendously positive impact on our operation.

He was particularly fond of assisting our long standing 9-hole women’s league, every Thursday morning throughout the season. Of course, his black lab companion, Charlie, was beloved at Studebaker as well.

Jim leaves three wonderful children, daughters MacKenzie and Madeleine and his son, Michael, each a Penn High School graduate, then various colleges/universities. All now reside in or around Cincinnati, OH…with Charlie.

A loving dad, there wasn’t a day that passed without Jim sharing something about one or all of his children.

Beyond his interest in sports, and great affection for his Boston teams, and also Notre Dame, Jim loved to spend time at “The Lake,” Lake Michigan, boating and watching Charlie take a swim.

Jim had an interest in everyone he met, always taking a few minutes to learn more about them and either share a laugh or offer encouragement if needed.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. We lost a great friend and offer our most heartfelt condolences to his family.
