Green Mountain APA Pool League

While in Las Vegas for the APA Team Captains Championship, I asked my little sister if she would like to go with me to check out Walters Billiards. It's a new pool hall that had opened about a year(ish) ago, but I hadn't had the opportunity to check it out yet.

We get there, get a table, we didn't bring out cues, so we were using house equipment. I figured I'd rack first, you know, me being nice!? (Mom, in case you're reading this... I was being nice!)

Celia says "So... can I finally play you for a beat the LO patch?? I know were in Vegas, but it should still count!" So, I said, " Sure, why not. I got the new coins too!" I figure what the heck. I'll player her and get it over with for another few months.

Well, after she broke, ran down to the 8-Ball and bobbled it in the side pocket, I was like huh, she's serious about this patch. So, I do what any overly confident player would do, and I miss my shot on a wide-open table leaving her with a shot on her 8-Ball.

Yeah...

I've been seeing her get better over the last year or so. Teaching her a few things here and there. She's putting in the work. So, I knew I was in trouble when the score was 0-3 in a 5-4 race. She kept her composure and didn't brag too much when we got back to the Westgate. She beat me 0-4. Not bad, even if I had something in my eye! LOL!!

Celia, a quick reminder that when I show you things, the unspoken agreement is that you can't use them against me! Also, I will be contacting Troy because apparently, you are spending too much time on those pool tables at work! Hahaha!!

Seriously, GREAT JOB!! You played very, very well. You deserve every single bit of that win!! Keep up the work!!

Here are the event details for the 2027 Northeast Challenge. We will be using the same two rooms for this event. Here are some changes:
1 - The Masters & Triple Play events will now have a 2nd chance tournament.
2 - The ladies event has increased to 64 teams and the Senior Doubles has increased to 48.
3 - There will be Mega mini events during the week as time and tables permit in the main tournament room. Players will be able to sign up for these in advance.
4 - PLEASE NOTE the changes of the days these events are taking place. Ladies has been moved to the end of the week and Masters will start on the first day.

ALL SIGN UPS must go through your local league operators. They will reach out to you locally with their sign up procedures once we do our slot counts - sometime in October. We look forward to bringing you another great event.

🎱🏆 GREEN MOUNTAIN APA 2026/2027 JACK N JILL — STRAIGHT TO VEGAS! 🏆🎱

WHAT. A. DAY! 🔥

We had 20 teams enter our 2026/2027 Jack N Jill, Straight to Vegas Las Vegas Qualifier — the largest turnout we’ve had for this event in the last 10 YEARS! 🙌🎱

And while I’m incredibly proud of the competition and the talent that was on that table, what made me the proudest was watching what happened off the table.

I watched partners encourage each other. I watched players cheer for their friends. I watched people support teams they weren’t even playing against. I watched good sportsmanship, laughter, hugs, encouragement, and genuine camaraderie throughout the entire day.

That means more to me than any title or trophy ever could because this is what I’ve always wanted Green Mountain APA to be.

Not just a pool league.

Not just a place to come play matches.

But a family. A place where people can compete hard, push themselves, celebrate each other, and still shake hands and smile when the match is over.

After an absolutely BRUTAL 14-hour day, we finally had our champions!

Every single team in this tournament was STRONG. There wasn’t one team there that didn’t deserve to win. The level of play was incredible, and every match was earned. Congratulations to ALL 20 TEAMS for putting it all out there and making this such an amazing event!

They will be representing Green Mountain APA at the 2027 APA Poolplayer Championships at the Westgate in Las Vegas! 🎱🌴🏆

I have teams asking to rejoin in all divisions. Schedules have changed a few times today. Please be patient. Check your schedule the morning of your match. I won't make any changes the "day of" unless I contact you, the Captain, directly first.

Remember, you can edit your rosters for the first 4 weeks on your own.
You can't remove Captains, Co-Captains, or singles qualified players. You will need my help for that.

If you need my help, I will always need your full team number. Then let me know what you need help with.
