We were thrilled to offer three Healthy Athletes programs on Saturday at our 2026 Summer Games: Special Smiles, Healthy Hearing, and Health Promotion. Together, our incredible volunteers conducted 231 screenings, helping athletes gain access to important health resources and education that support their well-being both on and off the court.
These life-changing screenings wouldn't be possible without the dedication of our amazing volunteers from Vermont State Dental Hygiene, Vermont State Dental Society, Northeast Delta Dental, students from the University at Buffalo, Center for Technology Essex Dental Assisting, and UVM Larner College of Medicine. Thank you for sharing your time, expertise, and compassion with our athletes.
Healthy Athletes is about more than screenings it's about breaking down barriers to care and building a future of truly inclusive health for people with intellectual disabilities. πβ¨
