Uncommon weather has the early season fishing very comfortable, no scraping ice off or bundled up like nanook from the north.

Nothing incredible hot yet but doing what we do enjoying solid brown trout and lake trout at will in the deep.
We’re laying off tarping rainbows until after the spring spawn but have been seeing them in the mix!

One of the most fun fish on the lake as they peel pine and jump frantically the Rainbow Trout fishery holds on solid to this day.

Going back to my childhood in early 80’s these were our target species more often than the Lakers or Browns!
As a kid even though the Kokanee routinely ran 2.5-4 lbs our family didn’t target them.

I have solid memories of Rainbow trout and the Silverside bows that skipped across the surface!
