I was a military aircraft engineer before I was a golf fitness and performance coach.

Same job, honestly find the real fault, fix the root cause, send it back out performing like new.

Most golfers in their 40s and 50s have it backwards. They blame their age for lost distance and a sore back, then throw money at lessons and new clubs.

But you can’t out-coach a body that can’t move. Ferrari tyres on a Honda Civic.

I hear this all the time. “I just need to play more.” or “I need a better short game”

Here is the problem. If your hips are tight, your core is weak, and your thoracic spine has the rotation of a fence post — hitting 500 balls a week is not grooving a better swing. It is grooving a broken one. Your body will find a way to compensate every single time.

Your swing coach can give you all the right cues. But if your body physically cannot perform the movement, no amount of range time is going to fix it.

You do not need more reps. You need more mobility and foundational strength so your body can actually do what you are being asked to do.

You know exactly what you are supposed to do in the golf swing.

But your body literally will not let you do it.

You take the lessons. You know you early extend.
But when you try to fix it, nothing changes.

Look at Nacho

He gets into perfect positions because his body has the mobility and strength to actually reach them at speed.

If your hips can’t rotate, no amount of swing thoughts will fix your slice.

Your body is the bottleneck.

Stop trying to force a swing your joints can’t handle.
Start building a body that can actually do the job.
